Temps are not that vastly different than Louisiana, less humid and maybe "snow" a little more often.

Sad that all those people couldn’t get a job in Louisiana and had to move to Texas

No question that DFW is thriving right now but that’s a little misleading because of companies headquartered there. Dfw gets credit for the job growth because the “local” company hired for the positions, and maybe even trained the new employees locally, but the actual positions will be taken elsewhere.

What extreme weather are you referring to?
Dallas has it’s fair of strip malls etc. but there are great restraraunts here. Any city this size will have a decent food scene. Cost of living going is nothing compared to NYC or SF yet

Not misleading at all... DFW had 3-4 cities in top 10 for population growth for the entire country.

Three major corporations still in transition phase of relocating to the area, so that accounts for a significant part of that. Still growth I know, a lot of it taxpayer subsidized as well.
