Plenty of news outlets did. Theyre easily found. Not everyone is on twitter. It wasnt on Fox news but they were way behind the social media circus that happens. They also cant/wont just clear a guy because people on message boards found what we saw.

Was the second DPD identified brought up in this thread? Or was everyone still crying about someone's feelings?

Dude

You've been acting like a 6th grade girl for 10 pages now. Get your period and grow the frick up.

He was blasted as a suspect during an active shooter investigation because he matched the description. He turned him self in, was questioned and released, and publically cleared by multiple news outlets.

God forbid the Dallas PD didn't tweet this during one of the deadliest attacks on a police force in recent US history. The dude is fine, and I think everyone realizes he is not a suspect anymore.

Why aren't you bitching about every single rape suspect later found to be innocent? Or DUI listing in the paper?

Ok so blame the major news outlets

Cops did everything right in this situation

It didn't need a press conference because hey released it to the local news. Not their fault fox and CNN are slow as molasses

He was initially questioned by police just moments after the shooting occurred. He and his brother then began assisted police in getting people to safety after he turned his gun over and was initially questioned. Then several hours later, DPD blasts his picture to the world and to the media that he is a person of interest/suspect.

DPD did a great job last night. This was a misstep though that thankfully didn't lead to anything tragic.

no it's not

while it could definitely go either way, i'm not so sure that the 2nd video gives us clear proof that alton was or wasn't reaching or fighting for his gun... you cannot see his right arm or hand.. does not provide evidence either way

also, i keep hearing people saying that you can hear the cop saying 'frick' after he shot him - obviously proving that he knows that he shouldn't have shot him.. i also think that this is not 100% fact or hasn't been proven true.. i think that there were 100 reasons for someone to let an expletive fly there and i'm not even sure the cop who pulled the trigger said this

quote:

Yes i believe the MN shooting will bring up charges. Cop made a bad decision on that. They keep screaming for justice. There will be justice

i'd like to see a video of the actions leading up to the shooting.. i've only heard the woman's side of the story honestly so i don't know if the PD has made a statement or not

but frick man, people are already up in arms over two cases that honestly the furthest thing from a true
quote:

open and shut case

this is all just so fricked up.. for everyone

except lester, frick him

agreed and i will never understand that one- make that idiot your poster child? yeah, that's really gonna open a lot of people's minds and make them see the evilness within law enforcement.

Do you also bitch about every single rape suspect later found to be innocent?

Child porn suspect who had his life publically ruined, whenever it's the wrong person?

Come on now, be consistent

hey like people have said its not a huge deal, but this is a message board meant for discussion, and we will micro analyze anything.

Yes the big media outlets dropped the ball if it was indeed out there that the man was cleared. The police also could have sent out a notice just as easily as they did when he was a suspect. The chief was doing press conferences all last night, i assume someone manages the DPD twitter account. It's not like the whole polce department are in the garage with their guns drawn

Saying frick doesn't mean he thinks he shouldn't have shot him. He likely said frick because he was upset that he had to shoot someone. Probably never even had to draw his weapon before. That's worthy of a frick.
