Chief was very vague. He said suspect was "upset by BLM." But he also emphasized he was acting alone.

These guys use live ordnance during training. They have access to bombs and bomb making material. It's part of their job... it's just not usually used to take down a suspect. But this wasn't a normal situation. A lot of cops had already been shot and some killed. The higher ups made a determination that they weren't willing to risk any further loss of life to apprehend the shooter.

The fricking hypocrisy in this thread is ridiculous. Not a soul on this website thinks Dylan Roof speaks for all white people or even most white people, and any suggestions to the contrary are treated with thrown out on their face, as they should be. Flash forward to perhaps one to two black men shooting police officers and you motherfrickers can't wait to throw out the race war bull shite, blaming the black community, etc. It is hypocrisy to the nth degree.

38 million black people in this country and a few thousand on Twitter get many of you antsy to start killing people. BLM speaks for the "black community" no more or less than the KKK speaks for the white community. I comprehend that they are capable of building explosive devices. I am expressing surprise that remotely delivered explosive devices are now part of law enforcements playbook.

Have to assume that drone strikes on American citizens on home soil are in our near future.

For the record I'm not sympathizing with the guy that got blown up.

This reads like McVeigh. Upset at a situation/incident in another location, decides to take out innocent people not related to initial situation but have a loose affiliation.

The stupidity of it all is innocent people are dying for other people's actions. Stupid fricking thugs killing senselessly for a "peaceful" end means? It's absolutely ridiculous.

Just listening to the police chief talk about how the deceased wanted to kill white people, wanted to kill officers, was upset over deaths of blacks at the hands of LEO...


I honestly hope it ends here. I doubt it will. If it doesn't this could escalate quickly and badly.
