I would have dressed up as batman first them pummeled the kid. He'd leave the kid alone AND fear batman forever afterwards.

This was true of bullies back when I was a kid in the 70's and I'm sure it's just as true today in 2014.

Fourscore and.....seven minutes ago... we, your forefathers, were brought forth upon a most excellent adventure conceived by our new friends, Bill... and Ted. These two great gentlemen are dedicated to a proposition which was true in my time, just as it's true today. Be excellent to each other. And... PARTY ON, DUDES!

Yeah, That isn't how an adult is supposed to handle that situation. The father isn't any more mature than an 11-year-old.

the city council narrowly rejected an ordinance that would have made bullying by children as young as 5-years-old a crime punishable by misdemeanor charges and fines of $100

Crazy that anyone even thinks that this is a good idea.

Pummel means to punch repeatedly.

Yet, the few of you that said this has offered no solution.

good for the dad if it was ACTUAL bullying.

I would like to know what the "bullying" was.... very good chance they were just picking on him lite all little kids pick on each other. And if that is the case this dad should stay behind bars.

Maybe I'm reading too much in to this, but I think this may say a lot about the 11 year old. He must be an evil little asshold for the bus driver to not GAF to the point of not even reporting a grown man beating his arse. I'm guessing the bus driver has wanted to beat his arse for a while and was glad the man did

Better ways to go about it than beating up an 11 year old kid.
I'm not sure there is. I'm betting this little shite will never look at the autistic kid again. The rest of the kids on the bus are likely to stay clear as well.

If all the punk had to suffer was a touched up mug then I think the issue was wrapped up rather well. Maybe it would've been more palatable for the dad to just whip off his belt and wear the kid's arse out in front of everybody.

What did the 11 year old do to the 9 year old that amounted to bullying?

Did he get physical, call him names what?

It probably happened too fast for terrible non-landscape filming and any "WORLDSTAR"S to be thrown around. Which is probably for the best.

Good for the dad. Bullying is bad enough, but to bully a child with any disabilities is beyond deplorable. Sounds to me that this "shanika" character needs her teeth kicked in, too.

The solution isn't beating up an 11 year old mentally challenged kid. It takes a special kind of fricked up to think that is ok, and it's the only thing that we know for a fact happened.

Instead, the 11-year-old kid informed the principal at Wilson Elementary School in Richmond, where both children are enrolled in a special education program.

My first question is: why is the 11 year old in the special ed program? If he has mental disabilities too then I'm a lot less in favor of the dad whipping his arse.

Yeah. I'm not saying I approve of the dad's actions, but that description is not at all what I would define as "pummeled." I was expecting much worse, when I clicked on the thread. Weird term to use.

Well that would totally justify a 44 year old man to physically assault and threaten to kill an 11 year old and other kids on the bus.

Teach your own kid how to stand up for themselves. They may get their arse whipped, but at least they fought. That is usually the end of it as most bully's want easy prey...
