Pure pedos (who go after pre pubescent kids) can't be treated or rehabilitated. I think if the system won't keep them off the streets and away from your kids, when you catch one in a situation like this, it's acceptable to cripple them. The law will likely not let murder slide, but a crippling could be excused, I think, as long as it doesn't take more than say 10-15 minutes.

Needs to happen more often. Pedos would think way more than twice about diddling a child if this was a consequence as opposed to anything our fricked up justice system does to known offenders. Whatever judges or DAs let these people back out on the street need some of the same consequences.

We need to find a way to protect fathers in situations like this so that their entire life isn't at risk for properly handling a situation like this.

You are right that there's no real argument that the life of the pedo should have been spared or that there is any chance of controlling his behavior. That this guy isn't already locked up forever is evidence that government isn't going to protect children from him. And that this guy had the audacity to continue coming around after already effectively being caught shows that the guy's sickness makes it impossible that he might stop being a threat.

But, unfortunately, as a father you have to evaluate protecting your kids in that very moment and against that very big threat...and keep yourself around to protect and provide for every need of your children in the future.

There are lefties in this world who would want to nail that father to the cross for protecting his children and taking care of it himself.
