What ever happened to the guy who used to jump from buildings into hard to reach pools? This was in cities somewhere and I think he miscalculated one time and broke everything in his legs... he’s probably dead now if he continued that shite.

If I were his dad , I’d kill him just to prevent him from reproducing (if he hasn’t already.)

A while back this trio who like to film and post their stunts died after falling at a waterfall. YouTube daredevils.

Eta: So the Cruise company is seeking legal action for something that happened outside of US waters. How does that work?

Is this a serious question?

Would you be asking the same thing if the passenger had caused thousands of dollars worth of damage to his stateroom or assaulted a member of the crew?

Probably trying to make him pay a fee for whatever resources they used to fish him out.

I can't imagine the damages being very high for throwing in a life preserver and having him swim back to shore or the dock

I believe it mentioned he suffered pain in his neck and tailbone for a few days.

I believe "Pain in tailbone" translates to "I didn't shite right for a week." in Moron-jumps-off-of-cruise-ship speak.

I'm sure there are all sorts of emergency protocols activated when a passenger is reported overboard.

It's not like everyone would've just known that he did it on purpose. The moment it was reported to the crew that someone fell from the ship, I bet emergency services were contacted immediately, crew scrambling, etc. etc.

So yes its a serious question. Exactly what are they suing for? What are their damages?

I don't work in the cruise line industry, but I'm sure there are costs associated with the emergency protocols activated when a passenger is reported overboard.

It was a serious question.

If he caused thousands of dollars to his stateroom I'd assume they would just add it to his bill like any hotel does.

But say they were in the Bahamas docked(like they were in this situation) and instead he assaulted a guest while on board. Does he get charged by the country he is in, or does he get brought back to the US and charged?
