Seeing the therapists behavior made it all make so much more sense

BEST COMMENT IN THIS THREAD.

The few "therapists" I have met have easily been as crazy as anyone they are treating. Can you imagine those two in a room together just going on and on about how the entire rest of the world is at fault?

Kids- that’s why you don’t share your location with your spouse.

I dumped mine when my wife texted me because I stopped at 2 gas stations 20 miles apart while on my way home from Baton Rouge. I filled up at one and my son had to pee at the second. I don’t need ANYONE tracking me that closely.

The courts slapped her wrist. This is why cops wonder why they arrest criminals, just to have plea deals made to let them go. The court sent a strong message that "WE will let you go, after beating up your debit card.

Experienced cops know that part of the role of courts is to show mercy to first time offenders having an inelegant moment.

They don’t lose their shite over lenient sentences because their job is to respond proportionately in the moment, not to explore all over variables outside the moment.

Cops that lose their shite over this are the ones who wash out and become self employed construction contractors. Then they are free to lose their shite with their workers…who then leave to become self employed construction contractors.

She thought her husband was cheating and wanted to catch him. The husband having no clue what was happening is the giveaway...no calls or texts from the wife telling him she's freaking out and to call her.

Now that you mention it, yeah why didn’t she call or text him?

Cops could have used a lot more discretion, empathy and kindness in this situation, IMO.

Or, here’s a wild idea: she could’ve followed the law, complied, and remained calm, polite, and rational. This probably would’ve been over in a matter of minutes.

Some of y’all have this weird, irrational empathy for crazy people, or you just instinctively find fault with how the police handle them. It’s probably the latter.

What I’m curious about is who the husband was meeting with. The wife said “meeting with a coworker about being his secretary,” which sounds like it was with a woman. But then the husband made it seem like it was just a normal coworker at the bar. But it almost seems like this chick thought her husband was maybe stepping out on her and she lost her mind.

I listened to that part.

She said the husband had just quit his job to start his own business.

He was meeting with a former co-worker at a bar to see if that person might be interested in coming to work for him.

The bar they originally planned to meet at was closed, so they went to another one that was closer to the river. The wife did not know about the change of venue. She looked at her tracker, and it showed that her husband was in the river, so she freaked out, abandoned cooking dinner for the kids, left the kids at home alone, and took off down to the river to look for her husband.

Then the husband came out of the restaurant. The cops found him and told him that his wife had been arrested because she freaked out about the possibility of him drowning. He literally said "I was just enjoying a nice dinner."

Her behavior was completely irrational from my perspective. She seems very insecure.

First of all, why in the hell do they track each other's movements? That sounds like major trust issues.

1. IWHI

2. I can’t fix her.

3. They really need to look into the therapist industry. I’m starting to think that it’s just crazy women using fancy words to affirm the actions of other crazy women and do away with the consequences.

How can he answer it if Crazy McCrazypants doesn't call him? She was on a mission to find him, not call him. It makes sense in her mind, just not to anybody else.

It’s Perrysburg Oh. 25K population. It’s 1/4 the size of #350th ranked city in population. Maybe they have 3 red lights.

The problem I have is the last cop she talked to said yes you can go down to the river and I’ll follow you down to the river. Then they cut her off and start their tough boy, small town BS.

Cooler heads obviously prevailed and she was let off with an appropriate warning. Hopefully the cops were instructed how to handle potential exigent circumstances.

Then they were visiting. Their home is in Toledo. Google maps shows her van in the driveway. Toledo's edge is 1/3 of a mile from Perrysburg.

They have a substantial amount of red lights. Maybe go look on Google maps before dying on the 2-3 redlight hill.

Just let her go around breaking traffic laws and endangering the lives of others, because we don’t want her to get upset.
