Completely agree. I mean write her a ticket later for running the red light. Write her 2. But the officers just harping on and on about it and then asking for her license while, crazy or not, she's freaking out thinking her husband's possibly dying.... was it not obvious to everyone watching exactly how that was escalating and they just kept at it?
And then produced a video of the footage and published it.
Yes it is a bad look for her to show her on her worst day (maybe). But it’s a bad look for the cops too.
I think I heard, “ma’am you need to calm down”. Have these guys never been around a woman? That’s exactly how you escalate the situation.

The courts slapped her wrist. This is why cops wonder why they arrest criminals, just to have plea deals made to let them go. The court sent a strong message that "WE will let you go, after beating up your debit card.

Eh….i haven’t watched every second of the video…but from the part I’ve seen, it appears that the woman was genuinely concerned about her husband. She was hysterical and possibly having a mental health incident on top of the concern. She may well be crazy or just simply entitled. Cops could ha

I think that is fair. Does she really need to be a felon? Mom of 3 who is indeed a dumbass and had a meltdown and did something temporarily insane. Ok that's not appropriate behavior but does she really deserve to carry a felony record for the rest of her life?

Your mentality is exactly why these entitled white women act the way they do.
Actions have consequences.

To me, that's a pretty fair outcome. She was distraught and needed to calm down. She didn't hurt the cop, but you simply can't put hands on a cop and she was not helping the situation at all. I don't think she is a hardened criminal, just a lady who could not control her emotions. Spending the night in jail, the fine, and all the hassle she is having to go through will, hopefully, help her learn to control her emotions better. A new therapist would help too.

First off, she’s a hottie. Let’s get that straight.
Secondly and more importantly she’s fricking crazy.
Have fun but don’t impregnate. Maybe crush a plan b in her appletini

She'll be OK from a legal point.
She'll be offered, and take, a plea deal for a lower misdemeanor with suspended sentence and probation with some class or TheRapy as a condition...
I just hope they don't count her current mind TheRapist as appropriate to meet that condition.
Edit: Dangit; I just saw Hangit's post on the resolution.
I wasn't too far off.

No. They could have given her a misdemeanor and a little jail time. It is obvious that her life is run by "When I don't get my way, I escalate the crazy until I do" Her therapist is also her enabler. telling her the truth would cause her to not return and pay for those weekly visits.
She got suspended everything and paid almost $1000. That is not teaching her shite, or punishment for the crimes that she committed while she was escalating her circumstances.
Next time she will seriously hurt somebody, then gtry to explain it is ok, because... reasons.

Yeah, no joke.
Not defending her at all.
Just pointing out that watching the first few minutes of the video, the cops made every move possible to make sure the situation ended up with court time wasted.

Many people still don't seem to understand it was her breaking laws, then deciding that if she just got crazier, they would do what she wants that turned everything to shite. Coherently explaining would have had a much better outcome.
Actually calling the husband when his location showed in the river, instead of losing her mind, nailing a foot to the ground, then running in circles while screaming and striking out, would have been prudent.

You absolutely are defending her though.
The cops were intentionally trying to escalate and waste court time? Are you stupid? They were trying to calm an emotional woman down and figure out what was going on and deal with the situation. They even allowed her to drive to the river and followed her (per her request). Then she runs a red light, screams and curses at every cop on the scene, and physically assaulted one.
There is only one person to blame here and it’s her. How any rational person could watch that and come away with “it’s the cops’ fault” is insanity to me.
Not to mention that once she strikes the officer, on video, I assume at that point they are legally required to arrest her. If they just let that one go, are there legal consequences against them at that point (because that’s how the one officer at the station made it seem).
What I’m curious about is who the husband was meeting with. The wife said “meeting with a coworker about being his secretary,” which sounds like it was with a woman. But then the husband made it seem like it was just a normal coworker at the bar. But it almost seems like this chick thought her husband was maybe stepping out on her and she lost her mind.
And then her therapist rolls up and thinks that just literally saying “fight/flight” fricking absolves her client from all wrongdoings. What an idiot.
All of that to say, this woman’s problems were purely because her herself and her own actions. Nobody else. I support police but also call them out when I think they mishandle shite. And I don’t think they mishandled anything here, not even remotely.

I think people forget that they need to see situations from a higher altitude.
It's easy to see it this way, but at some point the cops start thinking that they're possibly being led to a crime scene; the wife might be a suspect as part of the story; they need to find out if she is who she says she is; she is incoherent and combative; she is a danger to herself and others while driving...
at this point you have to slow everything down and start planning, not reacting.

The mental instability of a large percentage of white women is an interesting case study. Is it the birth control pills being pushed on them at a young age that has turned them into overly emotional lunatics?
Its not that. Society is the biggest factor. for more than 2 generations now you have had society tell women they can do no wrong, they should be believed above all else, and that they don't need anyone. As a result, they wrap their identity around those beliefs. Reality has different opinions as it turns out. So, when a woman like this meets reality they tend to short circuit because the very essence of who they are is questioned. A healthy, rational human being doesn't put all their eggs into one identity. They just accept who they are and when something else comes along they take it for whats its worth. But if you are told you are never wrong and then someone proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that not only are you wrong but you are also a fricking moron, it tends to make them crash out.
Source: My really prominent couples counselor buddy in Palo Alto. Bonus fact. He says for every 50 professional level women he treats, 1, if he's lucky, will see how destructive her behavior is and will actually work to change. The other 49 basically say frick you this is me deal with it even when presented with OVERWHELMING evidence that their behavior is what is killing the marriage, not anything else. And before you guys say, "lol of course bay area women" he says this is the norm amongst all of his peers regardless of where they are. says its actually worse in the South among this cohort.

Woman in boat: "Saw a woman with a skanky-looking tank top on go over to the bathrooms, think he could have left his phone over there?"
Officer: "Maybe, I'll go look over there"

Officer: "Maybe, I'll go look over there"
