In South Africa, during their omicron peak, 70% of their hospitalized positives were in the hospital for some other reason.

Basically, the positive test was an incidental finding.

The variant is/ was so prevalent that everyone had basically been exposed.

Omicron is a cold even if we end up setting new daily records for "cases".

Curious to see how LDH displays the their dashboard % tomorrow. If not fully vaccinated doesn’t make up less than 50% then something must be up.

Currently there are a TON of “fully vaxxed” people testing positive for Covid. I know it’s anecdotal but everyone I know that is positive is “fully vaxxed”.

Also curious how they display hospitalizations as well. As someone already mentioned in SA, 70% of the hospitalizations were merely coincidental positives (they were going to the hospital for something else and they happened to be Covid positive). If that is true than the hospitalizations for “fully vaxxed” should increase significantly as well.

I guess we will see but I don’t trust Kanter to be anything but disingenuous after his performance at the legislative hearing for mandating Covid vaccines for school.
