Go camping and rediscover the beauty of this biosphere that took billions of years to develop.

Make outlandish plans for the future and think of how you can make them reality.

Unplug from social media, it is both an addiction and a weapon to be wielded. Due to social media's nature, If you do not partake, you may as well not exist, and it loses its power over you and your life.

frick cancel culture and frick covid, frick msm hysteria and frick living in fear. Let everyone else cuck out while you grab life by the ball.

P.s. drinking is a crutch. Cut back.

I was in somewhat of a similar spot a few years ago, albeit different reasons. Find a few constructive hobbies, and focus on getting better at those. It's the improvement that's the payoff.

I picked up biking. I think it's truly one of the best activities an you can do. I went from dragging my arse 10 miles to doing 100 mile rides in a span of a few months. Pick a trail, line up some music/podcasts, and go.

Woodworking was the other thing I got back into. Building tables and shuffleboards for friends and family mostly. Gotta make time with something each day and forget all the bs, or that anxiety just gets worse

This isn’t the right take.

I’m not afraid of blacks randomly attacking me on the street

I’m more afraid of having to raise kids in this world in the future. We are circling the drain because the cycle of no distractions and negative news is endless.

It seriously feels like there is no end.

Go hang out with some friends. Sounds like you just need someone to talk to.

I started on a pearl export select kit. Black wood grain, zildjian cymbals.

It grew into an 8 piece, had to buy an 80s suburban just to transport everything around.

Now as a guitar player, a 4x12 orange cab is just as annoying.

COVID has caused hell for me. Finally was able to bring my daughter home from NICU yesterday after 146 days and my wife’s anxiety about her getting COVID has been crazy. I do understand because our son passed in January and our daughter would be a high risk patient. It’s been a shitty year

I'm feeling you and find myself in a very similar dark place.
Not sure where to go from here.

Serious question, do you smoke weed? And if not, could you with you job and would you be open to trying it out for your anxiety? It helps a ton.

I’m not afraid of blacks. I have been to jail and for some reason people don’t frick with me. I would be worried about raising kids in this climate as well. They need to know how fight, shoot a gun, and procure your own food.

Man honestly you need to unplug. The media these days (on both sides) is specifically trying to make you angry. Just UNPLUG.

You’ll find the vast majority of ppl - even those on the other side of the political spectrum than you (and I don’t know which side you’re on ) - are really just normal ppl like you. Don’t let the extremists on both sides let you think otherwise.

UNPLUG. American people are good people. Democrats and Republicans... usually just good people. Lot of false narratives floating around dont buy into it

As someone who was following Covid since before China locked down in January, I wholeheartedly agree with the advice to stop following the news about it so much. It really affects your mood.

The sames goes with all the cancel culture stuff as well.

If you're going to follow them, just check them once per day. Otherwise, focus on living your life.

Also, 6-8 hours of sleep at a decent hour (not 4-5 AM) and some exercise and sun in the morning should help your mood and ability to sleep.

Stop drinking. Covid did the same for me and I realized my anxiety was at an all time high and that drinking, which was supposed to relieve anxiety, was making it worse.

Stop staying up so late. Stop reading the news. Go to bed by 11, wake up by 7-8. Get into a routine, wake up and exercise even if it’s just going for a long walk. Pick up a fitness hobby, including healthy eating and cooking, make it more of a hobby and way to discover new recipes. Find an additional hobby to take up. Between lessening your drinking, being healthier via fitness, and a hobby... you’ll feel so much better.

Congratulations and best wishes to you and your fiancée for a beautiful wedding day and a lifetime of happiness!

Just remember that all this unrest and chaos is temporary and things will get better. You are VERY fortunate to have found someone who loves you and you get to spend the rest of your life with as a lot of us are not that lucky. You have so many great days ahead of you! Wishing you peace and happiness.

Excellent kit. This right here sounds about right. The only reason I can never drive a car is because of hauling drums around...part of my teaching job as well.

Treat others as Christ would treat them. Prioritize family and friends. Get rid of distractions that might incite anxiety—social media and cable news for example—and realize that most everyone is on the same wavelength as you. A vast majority of this country, whether Republican or Democrat or rich or poor, just want to live in peace and get along. The powers that be are trying their best to divide us. Tune them out and reject their influence.
