Without getting into the specifics of the issues going on in our country, I’m realizing it’s a struggle to make it through every day.

My anxiety is definitely ‘triggered’, I suppose that’s my attempt at a joke right now. The things going on in this world don’t make me fear for my life, but as a white, adult male, I feel like I am being rendered irrelevant by society.

Covid has taken away my main outlets in life. I should be excited, as I am getting married in two weeks. The planning for that has been difficult to say the least.

I am not standing on the ledge. I wouldn’t have the balls to do anything crazy like off myself.

What I am realizing is that anger is filling me more and more by the day. I’m drinking more, staying up until 4-5 AM. I’m off for summer, so I have no real reason to roll out of bed before noon.

I’ve tried to funnel this into yardwork and doing some active things, but it hasn’t seemed to help.

Emotionally, I feel like giving up.

Get the fiancé pregnant. That’ll shake things up in a good way.

Stop paying attention to the news for a while and get to bed before midnight. That will help significantly.

Just remember you’re not alone and you’re not even in the minority on your viewpoints for where this country should be. Don’t let them take that away from you. We are on the right side of not just history but for survival. Their way doesn’t work and it won’t work this time either.

Man the frick up. Start drinking more water, get out in the sun, and get some energy back in your body. Move around and start exercising, sweat a little bit. Pretend that you're a teenager and just go do shite for fun.

Start talking with your friends and neighbors to vote this November. Make your voice heard at the ballot box. Leftist are trying to intimidate and shame you. Don’t let them win.

The best thing to do man is tune all this shite out. A good statement to live by is "dont let negative things going on in the world that you have no control over control your emotional state" or something like that.

I feel what you're going through because it's frustrating and equally tiresome but all we can do is ignore it and worry about ourselves and our family and friends. Maybe read some books, exercise at home, watch movies and shows that bring you joy, etc. Find some things that can get your focus and mind on a more positive mindset. If you're religious or spiritual you can also pray and meditate. But I agree man this shite is getting old real quick. Just know that "this too shall pass."

Stop being a weak minded follower and realize you shouldn't give a shite what society thinks about you.

I’ll say it’s common to drink more than average a few weeks leading up to your wedding. Assuming you and the soon to be wife have been on top one another since mid March due to covid I understand your frustrations.

We’re in weird times, quit reading the internet and get out more. Make light of what’s going on in our current environment and turn it into something that makes you feel happy.

This is a time to stop focusing on the big picture and all the things you can't control. Put your energies into your personal life and community. You alone cannot solve the world's problems, but you can work on your own issues.

Turn off the TV, and if you have to look at social media (even TD for the time being) set a limit for yourself. Unfortunately, negative shite is selling these days, and you're buying. Don't give them the opportunity. It really isn't all bad. Go out, talk to people. If it isn't anything more than a passing conversation. More people feel like you than you will ever think. Media has everyone on pins and needles, but only because we allow them to have that impact.

If you don't have an outlet during the day right now, think about volunteering. Do something to help people in need. In my area, they are still in need of volunteers to deliver meals to the old folks. I'm sure there are other opportunities to help others. People are still appreciative of help like that.

Most importantly, try not to worry about things you can't help. Focus on what you can control. Be there for your family, friends, and community. They are all that really matters. All you can do is all you can do.

Apparantly you're supposed to feel like this is a good thing. If not, you're a racist. Which is bullshite.

Many people feel the same way you do, and they didnt know how much that they did till now. There will be a blowback from everything going on. When that pendulum swings..

I just thought about something after rereading my post.

In a world and time where it is so easy to stay connected, it seems we are all farther apart than we have ever been.

I've always tried to be pleasant to people. I try to talk to them to make them smile and just take some of the edge off of every day life.

For a couple weeks I had gotten away from that. I guess with corona and all the other crap, I just felt closed in. Last week, I decided to get back to the way I used to be. I started nodding to folks, talking to them a bit, making a stupid joke. I started feeling better. Being out running errands was easier. I think everyone is feeling that pressure. No normal person really knows how to act toward others lately. I'm not playing into that shite anymore.
