Friday, an FBI spokesman confirmed in a statement that agents were at her home investigating:
FBI Louisville is conducting judicially authorized activity at 3003 Springfield Drive, Apt, 4, Louisville, KY. As we have stated before, FBI Louisville is conducting an independent investigation into all aspects of the death of Breonna Taylor. When investigating potential civil rights violations, the FBI will take a fresh look at all the evidence, including interviewing witnesses who have already spoken to the original investigating agency, interviewing witnesses who have not yet spoken to law enforcement, and examining all physical and video evidence to better understand what transpired. Today’s action is part of this process.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Brett Hankison, one of the three officers involved in the death of Breonna Taylor, is being fired.
"Chief Schroeder is today initiating termination procedures against Louisville Metro police officer Brett Hankson," Mayor Greg Fischer said.
Fischer said neither he nor Schroeder can discuss the announcement any further due to a state law on complaints against police officers.

Tariq Nasheed is a disturbed nutjob
But the Taylor situation is more of a "sue the shite out of them and change the laws" thing than a criminal charges thing, from what I would expect

No clue who that is.
What happened in that case?

I don't know how no-knock warrants are legal. I know Rand Paul is trying to get it outlawed. No one else seems to be even trying.
Plain clothed cops broke into her house and shot her.
They didn't seek her out because she was black. The completely fricked up in an activity that is somehow still legal, but shouldn't be. I wish we could focus on the civil rights issue here instead of race. No-Knock warrants and civil asset seizure are two things that should no longer be allowed in this country.

she was in bed with someone shooting at cops that entered the apartment? Is that the gist of it?

yea you can't let the current insanity stop you from acknowledging basic right and wrong. This one is an atrocity from the facts thus far.

no knock warrant in the middle of the night, wrong house (I think?), the boyfriend thought someone broke in (which they did) and opened fire. She was shot 8 times and killed. Not really the standard we should set.
Edit: I don't think it was techncially the wrong house, but her residence was on the warrant because she dated the investigative target, but no contraband turned up and they basically executed a no knock warrant for no reason.

If people break into your home, what is your first reaction? Because when these kinds of raids happen, the occupant of the house may not know know if it's a crackhead or a cop. They just know that an invasion is in progress.
You would act in self-defense.
From her perspective, that's what happened. Someone was breaking in and she tried to defend herself.
No-knock raids shouldn't be fricking legal. They are. And these cops will walk.

I only halfway know what this is about. Is Louisville about to be the next city to go up in flames?

From my understanding she didn't even do anything. Her boyfriend was the one trying to protect their place from the break in. She still got kilt.

This is a tough one for me. Her case is a huge tragedy, especially considering they had the wrong house and the person they were seeking were already in custody.
No knock warrants are BS, but they're currently legal. I'm all for changing the law, but I'm not sure these guys should be charged with murder for doing their jobs legally. This may be a bad assumption, but I'm assuming the cops who did the shooting were not the ones who fricked up the address. I would think they were given the address. Again, that part may be a bad assumption though.
