That may be worth protesting.
The use of no knock raids in the middle of the night is worth protesting, even when nobody dies. They’re incredibly stupid and high risk, with very little return. And as evidenced here, mistakes during these things can easily prove fatal.
There is a famous case of this in ATL. Elderly black woman, 92, sitting in her house—cops siege the wrong house, cut off burglar bars, and broke down her door. She shoots a single shot over their heads as they charge in and they unload 39 rounds, only 5-6 went into her. This is a form of kids playing war here.

Don't know the facts of this case, but would the homeowners have been charged had they won the gun fight?
Boyfriend was charged with attempted murder of a police officer. Charges were dropped but only due to the terrible PR. Without the spotlight he gets railroaded.

Dems want this SOO bad, riots are good for keeping libs in power.
Let’s be honest: both sides do.
Riots and CHOPs are great footage to rally the law and order base.
Police reform and criminal justice are great footage to rally the liberal base.
Truth is, we all lose with this shite.

Absolutely. It took another judge to release the boyfriend. He sat in jail for a while...
I hate that this case is not getting the bulk of attention.

I agree.
And charging the boyfriend with attempted murder for shooting at people that were invading his house is bullshite.

Here's an article related to that incident in Houston. Shows how some officers abuse the current system when it comes to drug raids and no knock warrants. I would imagine that these same shady practices can be found in other departments across the country.
If you're going to allow for no knock warrants, maybe there ought to be a little more oversight and questioning of the evidence used to obtain them.

No knock is horrendous.

frick no-knock raids. That needs to be a thing of the past.
You absolutely should be allowed to defend yourself with lethal force during a home invasion. That's exactly what this is.

IF they went where they were told I'm not. Whoever fricked up can suffer that consequence.
If they can't read though, then I'm with you.

This.
There are 3 things that need to change in this country NOW - especially after the abuse we've seen in law enforcement lately.
1. END NO KNOCK RAIDS.
2. End Civil Asset forfeiture
3. Apply STRONG oversight to the FISA courts

Louisville police release the Breonna Taylor incident report. It's virtually blank
TESSA DUVALL | LOUISVILLE COURIER JOURNAL | 12:49 pm EDT June 11, 2020

Listen to recording of the 911 call made by Kenneth Walker in the immediate aftermath of the fatal police shooting of his girlfriend, Breonna Taylor.
JEFF FAUGHENDER, LOUISVILLE COURIER JOURNAL
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Nearly three months after Louisville Metro Police officers fatally shot Breonna Taylor in her South End apartment, the department has released the incident report from that night.
Except, it is almost entirely blank.
The four-page report lists the time, date, case number, incident location and the victim's name — Breonna Shaquelle Taylor — as well as the fact that she is a 26-year-old black female.
But it redacts Taylor's street number, apartment number and date of birth — all of which have been widely reported.
And it lists her injuries as "none," even though she was shot at least eight times and died on her hallway floor in a pool of blood, according to attorneys for her family.

Wrong. She was a bystander shot in a horrible case of mistaken identity.
You realize that doesn't necessarily preclude murder right?
You're up in all these shooting threads and you get the law wrong in nearly every one of them. It's quite a sight.
Remember when you thought the McMichaels were gonna walk? Lmao
