Nobody wants to do business with this criminal, racist, grifting PoS.

You know what those places might have less of?

More police——racist
Less police and more crime——-also racist

I lived in Nola east for 2 years or so. There are good people there, but I did not feel comfortable driving late or walking anytime the sun wasn't out.

They elected a criminal. Now the criminal is complaining of no business in one of the most crime ridden areas?

How about you make it not a lawless shithole where criminals go to chop up cars and dump bodies
What a novel idea. I don't think he will go for it.

The funny thing about Oliver Thomas is that you will often hear him say some things that will make you think "You know what? That is reasonable and common sense stuff"
And then you remember its Oliver Thomas

A low rent tire shop is underrated. Something as simple as plugging a tire is damn near impossible at a reputable place.

Aside from the Winn Dixie on Chef Menteur and the Walmart on Bullard Avenue, there are no other supermarket options for those living in New Orleans East, where roughly one-fifth of the city's population resides.
I wonder why?
The mind boggles...

That area looks like a scene from Escape from New York.

They have to go from a "3 gun" neighborhood to at least a "1 gun" neighborhood before anyone will consider going back to that shithole.

The Vietnamese live pretty good over there. IDK how they keep the trash out…probably with force.
The neighborhoods surrounding that church where they have the Tet Festival every year are Vietnamese and about as foul and disgusting as any in the East.

"Councilman Oliver Thomas is asking what needs to change to give residents in the East an opportunity and retail options."
@otforus
have you checked with
@mayorcantrell
? She promised this six and a half years ago when she was running for mayor.

No business wants to be in the east. It's the wild wild west out there. Should have bee utilized for green space after Katrina. NOLA post Katrina does not have the population to support it.
