Don't be afraid to shop at goodwill, I know millionaires that shop there.

You don't need cable TV.

If your wife doesn't work, get down to one car you're paying insurance on. If possible don't have a car note.

Use budgeting software. Track where you're spending your money.

I could, but I don't have kids. I currently budget $2200-$2700 per month after bills/savings.

Yes, absolutely. We are a family of 4 and could and have done it with ease.

It isn't as hard or as tight as some are trying to make it seem.

It's basically $500/week, which unless you are just retarded with money, shouldn't be difficult to budget.

Need to figure in insurances and property taxes if the tax isn’t included in your mortgage. Between home, auto and property taxes I am around $9k plus another $17k for health insurance for family of 5. Money doesn’t go very far

1. You aren’t getting cable and internet for $100. You could do internet and streaming services...but still probably looking at $150 or so for both.

2. Cell Phones? Home/Car Maintenance? Pet Car? Prescriptions?

3. Any extra curricular activities for kids that require monthly fees?

Doable for sure...but it would be tight. I’d consider spending less on house.

Don't eat out. Every time you do with 4 there goes a bill.

I guess so, soo long as you have no interest in saving for retirement or college for the kids. Sounds like you need a second job.

Does your child play any sports? Like travel baseball or elite soccer? That can add up.

Not sure which branch, but in the Army they are people on post that will help you create a budget.

Most of them are pretty good at their jobs, but no one ever uses them.
