Could you guess the store you are in by it’s smell?

A lot of stores added fragrances to their air conditioning and as soon as you smelled it, you knew where you were.
Stores like Western Auto and K-Mart had a distinct smell.
I believe Target still does this.

The Co-op has a smell that reminds me of going there with dad as a kid and getting cow feed and other items.

My smell sense is with casinos.
I can smell the trashy ones and the more upscale ones.
Beau Rivage’s lobby has a distinctive smell of clean of odor ban.
Some other casinos reek of a mix cigarette or cigar smoke.

I haven’t been in a Spencer Gifts in over 20 years and I still remember the smell of those.

Could probably tell you the type of store. But if you walk into a starbucks, how are you going to know if its a starbucks, PJ’s, panera, etc.
I will admit Target has a unique smell. Maybe because most have pizza and coffee next to the entrance
