I'm 6 years older than my wife met her on a blind date set up by mutual friends and had i known the age difference beforehand I doubt I'd have gone,.

Until their deaths, I hadn’t realized Gene was married to a much younger woman. Their story seems very sweet as they were clearly right for each other. Kind of sad as well. Because if they hadn’t passed somewhat simultaneously, the wife would’ve been looking at possibly 30 years alone (her mother is still alive in her 90s). More if Gene hadn’t lived so long. I wouldn’t want to leave a spouse behind for so long.
