It is a bright spot each day when you check in. I’m sorry to hear things are serious, but it seems you are at least stable? I appreciate your attitude. Keep fighting, many many on here rooting for you.

Hot damn, you need to get this to the CDC. It appears as though there might be a problem that somehow links this virus that attacks humans with places where humans are. WOW, This could be the missing link!

Well said. Looking forward to him announcing that he’s been cleared. One day at a time, though.

God bless, Data!

Exact same symptoms I've had for about a week now. Started with a scratchy throat. I figured it was just allergies but I've never had this random moving lung pain with allergies before..

Brazil is converting stadiums into open air hospitals as cases start to increase down there.

I was wondering when/how this would starting hitting law enforcement. NYPD has 512 officers with COVID-19 and another two or three thousand out on sick leave. With the amount of officers NYPD have they can probably handle this better than most but what happens when departments can't maintain law enforcement operations? State police/Highway Patrol take over or go with the Guard providing a law enforcement role? I don't think Governors want to go that 2nd option because of the, "muh martial law" folks.

Why would you discuss this before doing it. People are now going drop what they are doing and gtfo of all of these areas. Lots people who were probably not going to go anywhere will now leave.

It's already happening. The Hamptons and Long Island are f-ed right now apparently.

Bet 495 is a parking lot today. More so than usual.

Did forming a containment area around just New Rochelle March 10th and bringing in National Guard to support delay reaction within the densely populated NYC?

I am sure it was already there, but it seems like focusing on any place to contain in early stages and before testing more widespread might give false sense of security to those outside containment area and probably panic later with more cases outside thinking it broke containment even though it was in other areas the entire time.

Also I think NY initially had concerns CDC's test had a lot of false positives (that may have been when CDC's test originally had 2 parts with 2nd part testing for corona type virus other than Wuhan strain which was dropped due to the issues), but with all different these labs I am hoping there is some set up to verify samples of tests for both positive and negative results. Ramp up of testing is great and NY has done more than California or Texas, but I just hope accuracy is being audited across country by 3rd parties not just labs themselves to especially catch False negatives as once positive person will be subjected to multiple more tests.

Damn... Italy crosses 10k deaths.

For reference, Italy reported 260 H1N1 deaths in '09/10.
