This is what happens when you give out light sentences for doing this shite... LINK
quote:

A Texas police officer responding to a call about an open front door early on Saturday shot into a woman’s home from outside her window, killing her in her bedroom, officials said.

Officers responded to a residence in Fort Worth, Tex., regarding an “open structure” call around 2:30 a.m. and found the front door open, the police said in a statement.

When the officers searched the perimeter of the house, one officer outside noticed a person standing inside, near a window. “Perceiving a threat,” he drew his weapon and fired once into the house at the person, the police said.

Officers entered the house, located the injured resident and a firearm, and began providing emergency medical care, the police said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

quote:

The woman, Atatiana Jefferson, 28, who was black, died in her bedroom at 2:30 a.m., according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Fort Worth Police Department did not release the officer’s name, but disclosed that he was white and had been with the department since April 2018.

Looks kinda bad...
quote:

James Smith, Ms. Jefferson’s neighbor, told WFAA-TV in Dallas that he had called the police to check on her well being.

He told the police that two vehicles were in her driveway but that the door to the house was wide open, which was abnormal, according to call details released by the police.

There was “no domestic violence, no arguing, nothing that they should have been concerned with as far as them coming with guns drawn to my neighbor’s house,” Mr. Smith said.

Body camera footage released by the police showed the officer, shining a flashlight, peering into a window and shouting, “Put your hands up! Show me your hands!” before firing his weapon.

Mr. Smith said he was shocked when he heard the gunshot.

Jesus that's sad. I know it can be a scary job, but shooting into a building not sure of what exactly it is you're shooting at or what else might be inside is bushleague.

WTF. How is this even justified, this story sounds extremely fricked up. But idk maybe im tripping. It just sucks to see someone dying in their own home with out even committing a crime.

I'm going to wait for more facts to come out on this one.

This whole story sounds crazy.

Don't disagree, but cops were there for a reason and the journalism here is garbage. Was just pointing it out. Curious if that means on her/in her vicinity, or in the house.

Greenville SC let the cop off that shot the homeowner through the sidelight in his door.

The question I have is does this happen more today or do body cams etc prevent cops from making up stories that could in the past.

Since this is in the thread now, let's start the discussion about how he never identified himself.

This is awful!

Oh the horror! A person standing in their home next to a window?

That's terrible.

I watched the video.

You can't just go shooting people. Goodness.

Come on. Cop should have backed away if he was so frightened by seeing someone in their own home.

IKR

Imagine being in your own home and seeing someone in the dark outside your window..

How might you initially react as well?

There really isn't much justification for the cop quickly firing into someone's home like this.

The rage I feel from seeing this and reading about the neighbor calling a non-emergency number for a welfare check is enough to make me say, "frick it; frick this country and frick saving it".

It is a shite hole. Ready for the collapse and reset. And we worship these men and women like they are some angels. Every damn radio personality, business, tv talk shows, etc... hell we pass laws to provide public money to those killed in the line of duty.

Well how about those you kill in the line of duty? You gonna put a law on the ballot for That? I'll gladly vote for it.

You earned this reputation. This was placed upon you. You earned every bit.
