My sister (no pics) worked at the womans clothing store The Limited (if anyone remembers that) in the late 90s/early 2000s.
It was in a nice mall in DFW, and they needed a stock guy and I just turned 20. All my buddies gave me shite for working at a girls clothing store, but they paid me very well to sit in the back in flip flops and open boxes and hang up and put security tags on clothes while watching TV.
The staff were about 30 total, 29 girls between 18-35 and me. Every break they would come to the back and hang and talk to me.
Needless to say, it was a very fun 2 years.

Broadcast DJ in HS and college.
Great job, fun, and taught me verbal skills I use to this day. I didn't love it enough to make it a career, but I'm grateful I got the experience.

LIfeguard at a water park in lower Alabama in my college years.
A few years later, took a fall break and worked simultaneously at an indoor lap pool as a lifeguard, a doctors office as a phlebotomist, and as a salesperson at Structure in the mall.

Loved roughnecking on drilling rigs.

Member of a groundskeeping crew at a state facility. It was the summer after my senior year in HS, and my group of friends all got jobs there.
After the first week, we were told to slow down and take frequent breaks. That started a summer of finding places to take naps in the AC.

Being a country club golf pro that gave lessons to all the milfs wasn’t a bad job.
Working on weekends and dogshit pay pushed me out though.

When I was ops manager for a cruise line, I got to do all kinds of free stuff (for me) involving travel and excursions to evaluate.

Right after college I spent 6 months being a deck hand on a 52' catamaran in the British Virgin Islands. I should have stayed longer rather than rushing home to start my career.

I worked at Brew Bachers on Nicholson in college. It was a pretty sweet job. The manager didn't really give a shite and the people that were there were all nice. You could basically eat and drink whatever and whenever you wanted whether you were working or not. And that included alcohol. So not bad for a college kid.
After college I worked for the international departmentment of a forensic engineering firm in Houston. My job wasn't cool, but my bosses would travel the world figuring out why things blew up at plants and such. It was interesting.

I become awed at the skill it must take to catch a golf ball in flight, zoom in on it, then zoom back out with the landing area as a backdrop.
It's not as difficult as it seems, but there are some situations where it is very hard. There are also a few tricks with viewfinder setup to make it easier.
We had a really tough time one day in N.O. a few years ago. There was a yellowish haze in the sky, and I hate to admit it but I lost a few shots that day (guys in the truck told me everyone was missing shots that day).

Working the water slide at Thunderbird Beach in Watson in the 80s. Bikinis falling off of drunk girls was the greatest thing in the world.

Green Jeans (game warden) for 5 years. Very cool but back then there were some corrupt assholes running the place that I butted heads with. I assume it is still the same. My job is not as cool but my pay is 5x that of a game warden.

Arizona Fan
That's quite a geographical mixture. I'm guessing: from/grew up in Arizona, went to college at LSU, and now live in Houston.

ROV Technician for Oceaneering. Pretty cool to operate a remote control submarine 10,000ft under water.

Back in the day, it was with tube cameras. Those Ikegamis weighed 40+ pounds without the battery. They were tough to handle for a guy who weighed 130 pounds soaking wet (I don't weight that any more).
Now it's all chips, but the lenses are manual focus.
I hope I can get another 8 years out of my old body before I hang it up. Luckily my eyesight is still darn good and my joints are holding up.

I was an assistant superintendent for the GC on the new LSU football operations facility. Coolest thing I've ever done in my life. Seeing the locker room being built out was wild. Also got to give Coach O a personal tour of the facility before it was complete.

in high school I worked on a deer farm and manufactured hunting "products". it was a blast, but it also opened my eyes to how much of the hunting product industry is a scam.
