Terrible timing, but not something to create a lot of drama about. If it was their standard program, then it was just done at an inappropriate time.

I just realized this was a road game. Forest Hill traveled to Brookhaven - which is about an hour away, give or take - and did this "show" at halftime.
Bands perform music, and sometimes, spell out formations or words or sway a lot. That's not a band performance, that's a theatrical performance.

More than likely those students are either in the pit, extras, or colorguard. Also, many bands have extras/pit/colorguard doing theatrical shite during the halftime shows. Also, the visiting band performs their halftime show as well more often than not in high school games.
That said. Poor optics and those in charge should have known better. Dumb decision was dumb
