From a Twitter quoted in that article:

quote:

In a 911 call, obtained by 9NEWS, 22-year-old Glass tells the call taker that he's stuck. He also appears to be delusional and paranoid, saying he's seeing skin-walkers and he might have to go kill them.

Yeah. So. Something going on in the head.

I doubt he was a danger to others but he may have hurt himself in his paranoid condition. If he ever worked up the nerve to get out of the vehicle.

If you look at pics of the vehicle it is obviously stuck. You can see the front left tire is unloaded and had been spinning. He called 911 because he was stuck. The keys were on the dash.

So what are the cops supposed to do here? Leave him? pull his car out with him in it? Stay forever until he succumbs to sleep?

Serious questions and I'm not fricking with you like others. This is an all around shite situation

Keep talking with him. So what if he picked up his knife. He's inside a vehicle by himself. He was only a threat to himself and filling him with lead is an odd way to stop someone from killing themselves.

Let bald guy keep talking with him and have the others back off. Not leave, but just back off so he doesn't feel so threatened. The guy jumping on his hood and shining his maglite in his eyes did nothing more than freak the guy out.

It's obvious he was lit (peyote? ), but like I say, a threat to no one. There was no need to go in hard.

They didn't immediately shoot him when he grabbed the knife.

They why EVER shoot him?

Are you saying there is a certain amount of time, whether it be 5 minutes, an hour, or 3 days, where this kid could have gone from not needing to be shot to death, to needing to be shot to death?

These cops murdered this man because they were tired of dealing with him. Murdered for being an inconvenience.

There is no other explanation.

frick the fire department.

They shot him because he tried to stab the cop that was trying to open the door.

This is simply a case of bad training and no one on the scene taking charge. You have a bunch of dudes pushing the situation until it became a critical incident and someone got killed. If there had been one person in charge who knew what he was doing he could have controlled things, come up with a good plan and forced that guy out of the car and into custody safely. There was a lack of resources as well. A shield and / or a police k-9 would have been helpful for this. Or toss some tear gas in the car and force him out and then Taser his arse. Heck, I would have considered hooking a tow truck cable to the car door and ripping it off even. There was lots Of things you could do from a safe distance to get him out of the car and into custody.

But someone has to take charge. Tell the dude on the hood to get the frick down. Tell everyone to back up for a minute and formulate a unified plan. But that takes training and experience. It doesn't help one bit that they had five or six agencies there either. This is actually a situation where an organized SWAT team would have been useful. One commander, one plan and a bunch of resources.

This is a case of murder because the cops were annoyed.

Annoying a cop now comes with a death sentence.

Seems like it’s a good idea to let them know that so the cops don’t show up and freak the frick out because they see a knife

bullshite. Outside of the first 5 minutes when the coo approached the vehicle and the guy picked up the rock and exposed the knife in his lap, the cops were very cordial with this guy. They did everything they could to get this guy out the vehicle. Your are full of shite or didnt watch the full video.

So you have an hour until the lead flies.

Good to know.
