All you need is a good down puffy jacket and you're golden. You can wear a tshirt under a good one no matter how cold it is.

Lake Louise in Alberta, it was about -20 at its peak. It was so cold when you walked outside that it was crippling.

It was somewhere between 9 & 12 degrees Christmas Eve in 1984 in Starks, LA. It was windy and we were outside shooting fireworks. Light the fricker and sprint back to the fire.

4 degrees in NYC February of last year. Did a lot of walking and layered up well. Wasn't horrible. Wasn't good either, but we made it. Plus it only lasted one day. In the teens the rest of the week.

Walking from the PX to commissary on Keflavik Naval Base in Iceland. Wind was so bad it drove me sliding across a sheet of ice until I fell backwards into an as yet unfrozen puddle. By the time I got to the commissary my clothes were literally frozen stiff.

Ever try to take off frozen clothes?

I got soaked with demineralized water last year when it was in the low 20's. That shite freezes quick.

I got in my truck half hour ago to head home, it showed -1, before the wind chill.

I went hunting years ago in Brandon, MS, when there was one of those Canadian winter trough events happening, it was -17.

It is 5 degrees here this morning and wind chill is -8. That's the coldest I've been in a long time. I've only been below 0 once and it was in NYC. Us southerners do not have the clothing to deal with such low temperatures.

Don't remember the exact temperature but I've seen below zero a few times.

This. People I know who go to Colorado and Utah regularly to ski say it feels warmer there at 15 degrees than Nola does at 35 degrees due to the dampness.

I completely agree. Earlier this week it was 15 degrees most of the day, once you were out of the wind, it wasn't all that bad. But I've been totally miserable in 40 degrees in NOLA

7 degrees here when I left for work. That is cold enough. In fact, it's too fricking cold.

Go sit in the woods and hunt elk in that 15 degrees and see how cold it is

If I'm skiing it's not bad at all

My phone says it is 1 degree right now, so I'm guessing right now.
