Cuisinart with the grinder on top. Inexpensive, about $99. Set it up at night and the grinding in morning is my alarm. I wake to the smell of fresh coffee. As said before, quality beans. The cuisinart lets you adjust grinding strength and light, medium or dark roast.

Bunn. 10 cups in four minutes, one button, no waiting.

I use a simple pour-over, about $8 at the Worrld Market store.
Two heaping scoups of espresso roast and 1½ cups of water.

I recently found a cheat code for outstanding coffee… freshly ground beans.
That being said, my Cuisinart that grinds beans right before the brew has been the best purchase I’ve made in a long time.
$120 on Amazon….thank me later

Any recommendations for a quality coffee maker that won't break the bank?
We have this one. Pretty sure you can get it for around $200, maybe less, on Amazon.
We’ve had ours for about two, maybe three years now. We like it because you can make everything from a single small cup up to a full pot of coffee. The delayed start is also pretty handy. It has one of those frothy things on the side that our daughter uses a lot.

Get the cheapest one you can get that comes with a thermos versus a glass carafe. It’s nice to have the thermos there to keep the coffee hot versus cooking it on that burner like with glass.

True. I got a small grinder a cpl years ago to grind the beans right before the brew, and it's a game changer. Small grinders are only abt 25.00

Lots of love from coffee nerds for the Technivorm Moccamaster.
I’ve used the Moccamaster and two other machines that replicate a similar design/brew style - an OXO Barista Brain 9-cup and now a Breville Precision. When the Breville kicks it, I’m going back to the OXO. Same brew parameters as the Moccamaster - both simulate a multi stage pour-over and draw down process - but the OXO has less thermal and steam loss which I feel leads to a more consistent and quality cup.
Its on sale rn LINK
And as someone else suggested, if you really want to improve the quality of your coffee you should weigh and grind your beans per batch. Baratza Encore is a quality grinder that will last you a lifetime.

I’m shocked people still use these.

Keurig is the worst. I have a great drip but I also have Nespresso classic machine , when I don’t have time for my drip. Nespresso pods are so much better.

Depends on what you mean by good cup of coffee. If you think QT or McDonalds or Keurig is decent coffee, then your options are limitless and it's probably just a durability question.
If you mean better than that and are buying decent beans and grinding them, Moccamaster is pretty much made for that. It'll probably drop to 250 or so during Prime Day stuff. There are plenty of Moccamaster alternatives, but it's made in Europe, is simple, and is probably the standard in this class.
