We have the Ninja Pods and Grounds Coffee Maker. The fiance bought it with his points that his company gives for each year of service or whatever.

Since we both like different types of coffee, it works well because we can just brew for our mugs/tumblers on the different settings without issue. And I occasionally use the frother. You can also use K-Cups if you want.

Yeah, our De'Longhi Magnifica Evo makes a great cup of coffee.

When I'm feeling nostalgic I'll bring out mom's CorningWare percolator that she got for her wedding in the early 60s.

Check out the Ninja coffee makers. I bought one for home and the office. The one I have does pods or grounds and does ice coffee, specialty coffee.

I've had my Ninja for a few years and would buy another one to replace it in a heartbeat if it died.

I got it from Bed Bath and Beyond if that says anything.

Moccamaster is about $360.

Second Moccamaster. You can also wait for sales on it. The glass-lined thermal carafe will keep it hot for hours without burning with the cap on it. Great coffee.

I bought a refurbished one from their website for about $230.

Had it for close to a year now with no issues.

Vastly superior to any pod brewed coffee.

If this one dies, I'll buy another one.

I have this one. Even for just coffee, it is worth it. Grinds on demand by the cup. And it does have options that even I will use on occasion when hosting espresso, iced coffee, etc.

I am not a big coffee drinker but enjoy it about twice week... I have an old percolator that I am looking to replace.. I think I am going to go with a stainless steel percolator that you put on the stove top and when it stops percolating it's ready.. Not being critical but I see no reason to spend more than $50 on a coffee maker... I don't want anything that I have to buy filters. Coffee is expensive enough as it is... This is what i am looking at...
Amazon

As a kid my parents had a coffee maker that was 3 pieces.. The bottom piece is where the coffee would drip into then a metal filter basket that you put the grounds in then a larger container on top where you put boiling water in... It would take about ten minutes to have a great pot of coffee.. Not sure if they make those anymore.. Is there a name for this particular coffee maker?

Ninja makes a couple good ones for less than $100. It's pretty quick too. Some of the newer ones (Hamilton) I've seen lately take up to fifteen minutes to brew twelve cups (drip coffee makers).

This is the correct answer, but if OP doesn't want to spend the money then just get a Mr. Coffee, or find an old percolator at a thrift store.

I still prefer my grandmothers old percolator to my jura around the holidays when I'm home for a while.

Mr Coffee ($30) makes me a pot everyday sure as sun rising in east.

If you want snobbery, just burn a $20 during your first cup Mr Coffee’s of every morning. Same result…without the state of mind BS.
