I work at an industrial valve company in Baton Rouge and this guy is three offices down from me yet all I hear, all day every day, is a CONSTANT clearing of his throat mixed in with coughing fits that legitimately make me feel like I should go check on him. It's quite loud, annoying, and disruptive. I don't know how he makes his sales calls without interrupting himself. He also vapes a lot. Not sure if that can be causing it or not since I don't know anything about vaping, other than it stinks.

Seriously, he doesn't go 10 seconds without doing it. I'm afraid to say anything in case he has turrets syndrome or something but good grief it's aggravating the shite out of me.

What does the OT suggest I do here? Mind my own fricking business or say something?

Sounds like a prince.

Consider yourself lucky to call him a co-worker.

This. Learn to ignore it.

It's not a medical condition, it's more of a mental thing. A nervous tick.

I have a coworker that does the same thing constantly.

I’ll trade you for the guy in my office who burps every 17 seconds and it sounds like some sort of diseased animalistic guttural death growl.

I tried that but there's no air vent in my office so if I close the door it gets hot real fast.

It would be a womanish thing to do, but anonymously leave cough drops and a deceptively kind note on his desk
