Just saw this and I'm not sure if the OT has been made aware of this or not, but Juan LaFonta is an attorney in NOLA that uses a rapping tranny in his commercial.

Your turn, Gordon.

ATL airport people watching

Posted by poops_at_parties on 3/14/18 at 8:26 am
Sitting at my gate waiting to board my flight to Ohare and I really hope none of these people decide to talk to me on the flight. I hate talking to strangers when I fly.

Is it just me or does anyone else prefer to just relax, close their eyes, and completely ignore everyone else when on a plane? It’s not to be a dick, I just don’t prefer to strike up conversations with people on a plane. Their breath usually stinks, mine usually stinks (because let’s face it, flying is an excuse to eat like shite at the airport).

Anyone else like me? What does everyone hate about flying?

I was in love with her when I was younger.

Congratulations on getting fired!
Parents these days throw their childrens' birthday parties more for themselves than their children.

When I was little, my parties consisted of McDonalds playlands and a cake my mom baked herself. Cost $100 tops.

Today we see jump houses, $5,000 play sets, $200 cakes, and 78 pictures on facebook.

I'm a fricking idiot. True as could be. Package had my name and address on it, so I figured I was good, and I am still here today to be called a fricking idiot.

That's either not true or you're a fricking idiot.

I work at a paper sales company and I'm tired of my co-worker bringing knives to work. His desk is almost within arm's reach of mine and there's no way he needs to have a drawer full of knives.

Do you work in Scranton?
Absolutely beautiful day today, perfect temperatures, sunny sky. Wish I was off of work to enjoy it with the family.

I tried that but there's no air vent in my office so if I close the door it gets hot real fast.
I work at an industrial valve company in Baton Rouge and this guy is three offices down from me yet all I hear, all day every day, is a CONSTANT clearing of his throat mixed in with coughing fits that legitimately make me feel like I should go check on him. It's quite loud, annoying, and disruptive. I don't know how he makes his sales calls without interrupting himself. He also vapes a lot. Not sure if that can be causing it or not since I don't know anything about vaping, other than it stinks.

Seriously, he doesn't go 10 seconds without doing it. I'm afraid to say anything in case he has turrets syndrome or something but good grief it's aggravating the shite out of me.

What does the OT suggest I do here? Mind my own fricking business or say something?
I am really good at being patient. I once went 28 years without sex and then another 7 years after that.
You can buy rechargeable batteries from Arlo, although they're expensive initially, you never have to buy more and they recharge within a couple hours. I love them.

any updates?

All I see are news articles cuming over themselves at the idea that this may be a racially-motivated series of attacks but no new actual information. 2 black victims and 1 Hispanic victim. Of course, since 2 of the 3 are black this must be racial.
It's amazing how becoming a parent totally changes how you react to these types of things. I feel sick in my chest reading that story and seeing those pictures. You know those kids weren't buckled up in that bus. I would need medication on the way there if my child was on that bus.

Prayers to those kids and the parents.

She's a hell of a lot smarter than me, that's for sure.

He's a sleeper candidate in my opinion. He could really have some potential but I'm not 100% sold on him yet. Isn't he a Bama dropout?

Clay Higgins

You are out of your mind (and obviously in your trailer). Clay Higgins would be a terrible candidate.

The best shot The GOP has in Louisiana right now would be Steve Scalise (the Legend from Louisiana) and John Kennedy. I'd choose Steve first, though. Too bad he won't run. The Legend has a much bigger potential as a national candidate than a state-level candidate.
You hear this, Rex? Trump is after you next. This is an omen.

Perhaps the fact that they're women and white had nothing at all to do with how they voted. Perhaps, they voted for Trump because they preferred him over her. Maybe, just maybe, it's possible for a woman to not be swayed to vote for a candidate based on their gender or race and instead based on their beliefs and values.

re: Popcorn ceilings

Posted by poops_at_parties on 3/12/18 at 4:32 pm to
I did this to a home I bought a couple years ago. It was built in the 1970s and every ceiling was popcorn ceiling.

Very easy as long as they're not painted. If they're not painted, just spray them with water, let soak for 10 minutes, then use a regular 10" scraper to scrape it right off the ceiling. Go slow so you don't gouge the sheetrock underneath, which will be easy to do.

Also, cover the floors very good with plastic. Don't forget to cover the fan and fan blades as well.

When you're done, fill up a 5 gallon bucket about half way with all-purpose joint compound and water. Mix it with a mixer until it's a pancake batter texture.

Pour that into a paint pan and roll the ceiling with it. Coat the entire ceiling with 3-4 coats. That should be enough to cover any imperfections. When that dries, spray it with ceiling orange peel spray texture.

If it's painted, then may the odds be ever in your favor. It might be easier to rip out the old ceiling and replace the sheetrock.
My living room ceiling was painted popcorn and I had the worst time scraping that shite. I ended up mixing vinegar with water and sprayed it. Let it soak for 45 minutes then it came off a bit easier, although not as easy as if it hadn't been painted.

Good luck!
Mother fricker that's depressing. I can't imagine how it feels to be in an enclosed aluminum tube knowing you're going down.

I haven't posted here for a while but I've lurked for a long time. I sure as hell hope you never come work with me because you sure do lose a lot of co-workers to shitty accidents.

I'm kind of surprised at the lack of news on this

It's not on the east or west coasts. Or in a major city. It'll be a small blurb in the evening news tonight while the media figures out how to spin it. Then it'll be in our faces.

I would look but I don't have time to go to www.google.com right now.
