Yeah, I read the thread a bit more and picked up on it. But I do believe stereotypes exist for a reason. Maybe a good reason or bad reason. Are they all wrong? We tend to lump people together. We sit and watch 30 Asian kids playing classical music beautifully on the piano on Youtube, we assume many of them learn the piano at an early age.

You think kids are incapable of this level of trolling? Not saying he did, I don't know and don't really care that much. Just bored. But I wouldn't put anything past a young kid.

again, are y'all really trying to build a conspiracy out of the kid using the word invention instead of modded clock?
He's a 14 year old nerdy kid who modded some electronics, brought them to school to show off, and reacted poorly when he was questioned as MANY 14 year old boys would.
To act like he had some sort of nefarious goal of creating a hoax bomb to set off an Islamophobic furor is ridiculous.
He's a 14 year old that acted like a typical 14 year old when questioned by authority over something he thought was stupid. Nothing more.
He's a 14 year old nerdy kid who modded some electronics, brought them to school to show off, and reacted poorly when he was questioned as MANY 14 year old boys would.

When the initial reports didn't show a picture of the clock and kept referring to the case as a "pencil box," your little brain worm should have alerted you, especially when pictures of the "clock" began to surface.
Non one is saying that the kid is a terrorist. They're saying that the kid and his family are full of shite and this was intended to provoke the response they got.

Think I'm gonna build a clock into my Sig Sauer, then carry it in my waistband while going through the metal detector at the airport. If I get pulled out of line, I'll let em know it's just a clock. Then, I'm suing.

The wife was in a small fender bender and the cop that came was giving her some info on this incident.
