This is likely it. The kid seems bright I guess. We have no idea what his thought process was. The way some kids are little brats, he may done exactly what happened. Take a clock apart and make it look similar to a bomb and create a mass news story.

So if someone brings a fake gun, that looks exactly like a real gun, but has a clock in the handle, he should be allowed to carry it around school and put it on his desk?

From the beginning, this whole story is a non-story. It's a bullshite product of our media. The left-leaning media blew up on the initial story. The right media is going to run with the secondary hoax story. In reality, it doesn't fricking matter and your life would be much better if you didn't give these stories the time of day.
