Yeah this is my beef with the so-called "9/11 truthers".
It is an objective fact that those two planes hit the buildings and they collapsed as a result of it.
-Did our government know more than they claimed and didn't connect the dots? Yes.
-Were our intelligence agencies not good communicators? Yes.
-Were the hijackers financed by our supposed Saudi "friends"? 100% Yes.
-Was this the greatest conspiracy of all time and the towers were really demolished with explosives on purpose? Of course not.

Uh, it doesn't have to "melt" them to reduce their strength. That is why WTC2 collapsed first, even though it was struck second. There was more load above the weakened area as the second strike was lower down the tower.

This footage still gets me. I was only 12 years old but I remember that day vividly.
I really hope one day we learn the full truth about what happened. There's too much odd and coincidental shite that went on. I grew up in Maryland between DC and Baltimore and a ton of our neighbors and family friends were in the FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. I went to visit some of them a few years ago, and somehow we got on the topic of 9/11. They would never really speak their mind on it previously, but after one of them retired from the NSA he finally started opening up about it a little bit, and he was 100% solid that the public was not given even 10% of the true story. It was unnerving how stone faced and matter-of-fact he was when he said that. He wouldnt go into specifics as much as I tried to push him, but he told me to ask him again in 20 years.
Hell, on my way to elementary school every day I passed by the small either apartments or mosque that the hijackers were living in/attended every day.

I'll assume for the moment your post is factual.
With that in mind, I would not want to admit to being part of the most well financed intelligence organizations, with almost unlimited resources, failing so spectacularly.
FFS, dudes were getting flight lessons and saying out loud they didn't need to learn how to land and this was reported to the FBI well in advance.
The people in these agencies were blindsided because they were so inept and operated in silos.
This was as much an intelligence failure as it was a successful terrorist attck.
