Twenty five years later and a gabillion videos of exactly how those buildings were constructed. He's never thought to look up if those buildings were constructed in any unusual manner for the time period.

Absolutely no sign of demolition, on WTC 2 you can see the exact moment of structural failure when the perimeter columns buckle.

Still makes my blood boil…after getting over the shock every time I see these videos. And yet, it is like an entire generation just doesn’t get it. That day will be one of my dying memories and will live in infamy.

Ahh the good ole days of 4x3 480i video. Very few HD recordings were made back then because high definition was still relatively new and expensive. Heck even digital broadcasting was still relatively new and most back channel feeds were still analog.
Digital tape was just starting to get on the mainstream market with miniDV and DV tapes bringing the price down to reasonable levels. It took Sony about 10 years to go from a D1 tape in 1986 to miniDV in 1996.
But every one still had a VCR capable of playing VHS tapes that had the ability to record at best maybe 240 lines of resolution with tech from the 1970’s. But most TV were still relatively small at maybe 19-25 inches. Unless you were fortunate to have a projection TV.
That is why the past looks so blurry.
At least now with some video editing programs, decent transfer equipment, and the help of AI, you can clean and enhance some photos and videos to nearly HD quality. It might take awhile to process.

Actually, there are a shite ton of knuckleheads that weren't even born when the event took place that claim the whole tragedy was some type of planned demolition by the government. All because they watched a few youtube videos.

You appear to know nothing about civil engineering, building design, and progressive collapse.
That is fine, but just say you are ignorant or don't understand, instead of stating it is "highly unbelievable".

I doubt any explanation will satisfy your query. But essentially WTC7 was structurally damaged by debris along with fires on multiple floors and since water mains were broken, many of those fires burned out of control and weakened the steel structure to the point of progressive collapse.
NIST did an extensive investigation on WTC7 (along with some universities and others).
NIST
The study of WTC7 and its collapse has increased future building safety through updates to building design codes and fire safety codes.

Right. Enormous structural damage and massive uncontrolled fires from two 110 story buildings collapsing on top of and around it could never have weakened a building enough to collapse.
If anything, we were lucky the Deutsche Bank building didn’t collapse too on the other side, or some of the other Battery park buildings that also took a beating.

National Geographic (I think) has a doc with tons of footage from the day. There is footage of some of the first firefighters in the WTC tower trying to get coordinated and put a plan together to get up there and every 20 seconds or so you can hear what sound like gun shots. It was the falling bodies hitting the top of the plaza above the firefighters in the lobby.
Gutwrenching.

I was at a seminar in Bethesda, MD that day. I remember walking out of the Marriott thinking how spectacularly beautiful that morning was.

It’s easy to look back in hindsight and blame intelligence failure etc. all valid no question,
Part of me thinks the American human mind and heart simply could not comprehend or imagine flying planes into two 100+ story buildings. OKC and WTC truck bomb attempt aside, this was on such a colossally different level of evil. And then it happened.
The scary part and the sad part for UBL is he thought it would break us and our way of life. It’s been less than 30 years and many have basically forgotten or don’t really know anything about it. That’s how far we’ve digressed as a society.
I’d argue social media and phones have done far worse than 9/11 ever will which is depressing.
Part of me thinks the American human mind and heart simply could not comprehend or imagine flying planes into two 100+ story buildings. OKC and WTC truck bomb attempt aside, this was on such a colossally different level of evil. And then it happened.

I'd watch the 5-6 minute mark, then the 11 or so minute mark when the second plane hits, then the other parts where the towers collapse. You can hover over the time tracker and see the "spikes" in views associated with those sections.

Is it really any different today when Disasters happen? We have to much government bureaucracy at every level. Billions spent to fund all these government agencies but when the Sh*t hits the fan what usually is the response? nothing but finger pointing because response was poor by such and such agencies. Floods, hurricanes etc... you name it usually a cluster.
