Ok. Lets say the average civil warrior was 18 at the beginning of the war. Children will be produced at 21 for this example.
He would be 23 in 1865 with a 2 year old kid (at the end of the civil war).
Veteran is 42, 1st Generation is 21, Second Generation Born (1884)
Veteran is 63, 1st Generation is 42, Second Generation is 21, Third Generation is born (1905)
Veteran is 84, 1st Generation is 63, Second Generation is 42, Third Generation is 21, Fourth Generation is born (1926)
Veteran is clinging to life at 105, 1st Generation is 84, Second Generation is 63, Third Generation is 42, Fourth Generation is 21, and the Fifth Generation is born (1947)
Veteran is dead, 1st Generation is 105, 2nd Generation is 84, Third Generation is 63, Fourth Generation is 42, and the Fifth Generation is 21, sixth Generation is born (1968).
Veteran is dust, 1st Generation is Dead, 2nd Generation is 105, Third Generation is 84, 4th is 63, 5th is 42, 6th is 21 and 7th is born (1989)
Veteran, 1st, and 2nd generation are all dead. 3rd is 105, 4th is 84, 5th is 63, 6th is 42, 7th is 21, and 8th is born (2010).
Honestly you're talking mostly 6 or 7 generations removed from the civil war.

Based on last night, I'm not sure if those that sacrificed all just "two generations" ago would find there effort worth the "hassle".

Nah...that gets forgotten because whites have moved on from it and don't use it as an excuse and crutch waiting for our repreations, or an opportunity like Ferguson to steal some big screens under the guise of faux rage.
IIRC a lot of the white slaves were Irish. I don't see a bunch of gingers out there breaking the law with inequality as an excuse.
