Estimates Show Wuhan Death Toll Far Higher Than Official Figure
Based on cremation figures, Wuhan residents estimate more than 40,000 have died, compared with an official toll of 2,535.

Any rational person could tell china was lying. You don't totally lock down 100 million plus people for something that only has the potential to kill 2500. You don't set up field hospitals and weld shut the door of the infected. Hell I suspect the 40k number is on the low side.

China is a real bad actor in the world. We need to start reducing our dependence on them immediately.

They also say their cases are declining and they have it under control. I imagine one of two things.
1 - It is still very rampant there but they decided to just deal with it.
2 - They're using a drug that may or may not have terrible downstream effect but works in the short term.
This is why the only way out of this is to either get a cure or a vaccine, or get enough people to build up immunity to it so that the hospital can adequately treat those who don't fare too well with it.

That's probably alot more accurate. And thats only in Wuhan alone. Wuhan probably had 40-50k. The rest 0f China probably had 20-30k as well.
Who knows, If China told us early that they were having thousands and thousands dying weekly, the rest of the world would have took this 10x more seriously from the onset.
Instead, most people looked at it as no big deal, it's just another flu. Hell some people still think it's just another flu.
