Only taken 2 days off because my PTO was maxed out

Or you could be like Japan and build robots for the tedious work, and change the world in a better-better way.
Imagine if Japan had the landmass of china.

If my stubs showed hours worked, I'd post a screenshot for you. At 158 hours for this pay period, had 155 hours the period before that, 159 period before that.
Ok, bubba.
I'm totally convinced you work at a place that has no problem paying out about 40 hrs/week of overtime, every week this yr...but doesn't include your hours on the pay stub.
Sounds reasonable, from an accounting/audit standpoint.

Asian people have absurd work ethic. It's why they are insanely successful. I worked as a server for a sushi place a long time ago. Owner and Co manager each worked 6 days a week from 8 an to 11pm. Never complained. Was just baffling. They literally have no life or time with their family.
I could do it for awhile..but spending your entire life at work isn't the way to go. Sure build something and work hard and long for awhile...but eventually you need to have your own time to live.

it shows Rate - Hours - Amount - Amount YTD
i should've been more clear. Doesn't show Hours YTD. Just Hours per Pay Period

People who work with me routinely put down 75+ hrs per week on timesheets. Maybe I should check into that

I get that in the US. Well more actually. I think I have 28 days of PTO
Sounds like you work for a great company. Difference is, in the USA there is no federal or state required minimum for paid time off, it's up to the discretion of the employer. Between minimum paid vacation days and mandated paid days off for public, there actually a lot of countries all over the world where employees get 40+ paid days off annually.

when i first started my business, I locked myself away in a room pretty much for YEARS. worked from the time I woke up til the time I went to sleep 6 days a week. I had no life. I would go days without leaving the house. I did that because I knew I had to put the time in to get somewhere. But that was never supposed to be a permanent working schedule plus you can't go wrong by not marrying a skank or knocking someone up while you are in your 20s

When I work 60-70 hours in a week I don't see another dime Lumbergh.
