own my own business, work in general from about 11am until about 9:30-10pm 5 days a week and I have absolutely no time to do anything else. At some point you got to ask yourself why are you actually working? working to support a family you can't see, to drive a car you can 't go anywhere in, etc.
All you need is a modest house in a modest neighborhood; in a modest town where honest people dwell.

Also isn’t he referring to himself and his ridiculous work schedule

70+ hr/week jobs don't really exist in today's world. Not ones that are 52 weeks a year.
Why would any employer pay 30+ hrs of OT, regularly, when they could just hire a new employee?
The only arse clowns claiming this are either
A. Lying
B. Working 20 minutes every 1 hr, but it's still an hour
C. Including drive time to work
Not to mention, most would be hourly employees, to brag about this. Salaried employees could, but it's salary, and that means you're not banging the OT clock, so it's almost more pitiful.
Banking, consulting, tech, and some legal definitely clock those kind of hours.

You clearly don’t have a wife and kids.

I haven't worked a 40 hour week since high school.

I worked 7/12's for a while, but I was 17. Raking in the $, 181$ clear a week!
If I got paid for the time away from work thinking about it, probably close.

The 40 hour work week is outdated. Most people could be just as productive in half the time if they didn’t have ridiculous commutes and spend half the day surfing the web and small talking.
20 hours of straight work is probably more than 90 percent of office workers actually get done in a week anyway.
People are terribly unproductive and find papers to shuffle because they’re chained to a desk

Military does it for stretches, and depending on what job you have/unit you're in.
I've done a few years combined on 12 hr shifts 6 days a week. (Maintenance/+exercises)
There is little production value added, but adding 1-2 extra hours AND cutting a day is production beneficial

At one point in 2017 I worked 58 straight days, all 10s and 12s. Hell, over a 5 month period I only had about 4 or 5 days off in total. That was doing electrical construction in our own Silicon Valley. It's not exactly slow paced out here.
Holy shite, I love double time Saturdays and Sundays.

996 is for dummies who can’t work efficiently.

I hire great people to work 996 schedules so I can work a 924 schedule.
