I’m a middle school teacher and I regularly work 70 hour weeks just teaching and grading. Don’t even get me started on professional development, which if I added into my work week, it’d easily hit 80 hours a week. That’s all just for summer.

No you don’t, band teachers don’t work 70-80hrs/week. Bring that shite to someone else, my SILs are teachers they don’t work near that much but they do bitch when they have to work 45-50 hrs those 2 weeks outta the year. GTFO with that shite

I'll take that under advisement.

Yeap I’m quite certain they aren’t putting in 70+ hours a week. They do get to work early but still 70 hrs is a lot.

Some people will never understand that life is not and never will be about work. We work to live, not the other way around. It’s a means to an end.

I have always felt that you should work hard for a few years to figure out what the marketplace requires. Then deliver that to the highest level.

A lot of people spend way too much time reinventing the wheel just to appease a client. The idea is that you want to be efficient with your time and do the right thing ONCE.

I'm in the same boat. I'll take working 60-70 hour weeks outside of football season from 25-30 all day.

Single? No kids? Good health? - yep I'll work my arse off so I can buy a house or go on some nice vacations.

I’m not arguing with you by any means, but this doesn’t work if you’re on salary. If I voluntarily worked 50% more no way I would see that in direct compensation.

I dont think anyone would voluntarily work these hours if they weren't getting OT

I’ve said before I would work 5/10s if I got paid accordingly. That would probably be my limit. Alas.
