If tweet fails to load, click here. Three customers suffered chemical burns after ordering margaritas at a Chili's in Forest City, North Carolina.
According to health officials, an outside cleaning contractor supplied a granulated degreaser on Monday. It was transferred into an unlabeled container and left in the bar area.
Two days later, an employee reportedly mistook it for sugar or salt.
Three customers were injured. Two employees also experienced symptoms after tasting the substance.
Here is my question at what point did these two Chili's employees think to themselves...... gosh these three customers are complaining about the burning on their mouths, lips, and throat from the Margarita so lets both taste it to see if it really does burn? I eagerly await to see what they look like in photos.

I actually surprised this doesn’t happen more at fast food places and chain restaurants. The employees are about as dumb as you can get. Some have trouble speaking English. They're worthless human beings. Like when I say worthless some animals are smarter than they are.

I worked at a McDonald’s when I was in high school. We would mix up a batch of biscuits in the mornings and bake them. My buddy accidentally mixed some cleaning powder he thought was flour into the biscuits. Customers complained of a gritty texture and off flavor. Finally our manager sampled the biscuits and was puzzled by the nasty biscuits. Some investigating turned up the problem. The cleaning powder was in the same kind of container as the flour. My buddy kept his job but we razzed him about it!

This is specifically why food safety regulations require labeling all cleaning agents and separating from food prep. I'm sure there were multiple violations at this restaurant which is management's fault

More training happens at chain restaurants as well as control over chemicals
