My parents divorced when I was 5.
My mom died when I was 6
My dad remarried and then later got a divorce when I was 19
I have a job and live a very happy life.

I don't know why people keep mentioning how many degrees they have. You can have long term mental and/or emotional issues with a PhD in any subject. Anyways, statistically there remains that possibility if you've gone through a divorce as a child before the age of 16.

the frick you know about my dad?

I would argue that having a phd probably makes you less normal because if the phd was in a useful field you'd just get a job so the vast majority of PhDs are in silly liberal arts majors

He has a bad picker and is selfish. Either that or he is lazy and fat and can't keep his dick in his pants.

Maybe your father just couldn't take living another year longer with your mother and had to get out.

I grew up in a divorced house. My siblings and I are fine. We are all stable with families of our own.
Does this mean divorce is ok? Nope.
It is a financial hardship. Lawyers, two houses, etc...
It is a time hardship (two of every thing takes up a lot of time and money. Two Christmas's is not that great, it gets old). Time wasted everywhere because of two families.
ETA: The time and money is at a minimum. No matter what you get those. Many times in divorce there are all kinds of other issues.
I like many other divorced kids have a chip on my shoulder and tell everyone how great I turned out even though my parents divorced. And that is the truth, I have a great life. But, in reality with all things equal it is better to have married stable parents.
I get why all of these kids of divorced parents are saying what they are saying because I have said it many times. But, I believe these statistics to be true. It is harder having a divorced house than a non-divorced house on average.

This.
That was one of the things my wife and I ironed out up front way before we decided to get hitched. It's not a fun conversation, but it has to happen. Better early than when there are kids involved.

Ok
What about the percentage of those that remarry, are they more likely to get a divorce?

A lot of kids with speech issues can often overcome it while in day care or in a group speech therapy setting with kids their age
It might fix a hypothetical speech disorder

I agree to an extent. Sometimes it is the only option which stinks but is part of it.

I'm guessing there is more to it than simply a divorce.

My parents were married for 44 years, til my dad died, and I still suck at life.

Yeah, let's just end it in spousal abuse or murder.
You say that like it's a bad thing, but people used to work at making marriages work when the alternative was abuse. People are soft now and just want whatever's easy.

Well at least neither one of us are on a TLC reality show so it's not that bad
