it should be more like 18- 30, 31-40, 41-54, 55-65, 65 older
then we would have some nice data, then we need to know what conditions were underlying. Its possible the 38 percent are mostly people with bad immune systems due to any number of conditions. Perhaps conditions that if we weren't in such prospers times wouldn't have made it through the gene pool.

That is highly likely as well, and the remains 1% would be people with cancer, and other issues that compromise their immune systems. its amazing what you can do with data when you want

It’s disgusting what the media is doing to our people. I have always thought we had a somewhat educated prideful nation but that’s not the case. Any headline from ANY new source (from the onion to CNN) and they jump in their car and buy up all the TP. Terrible sad times we live in.

I’m assuming it was picked because statistically they were similar. Your odds at 50 aren’t much different at 20 all things being equal.
They are saying that once you hit 55, that’s when mortality starts to slide upward sharply.

I think that is a by product of our life styles. We have so much access to information that only certain headlines will catch attention. Then we have so many headlines we can read that only so much of the body of an article can be read. I believe very rarely does anyone actually read a non work article fully.
So you get a click, which generates ad revenue, by saying 1 dead from China flu. Someone reads the first paragraph and moves on. They don't read the end that says the guy was 90, or 54 with COPD.
