As a cc holder, I wouldn't have shot in that situation. He's probably going to lose a lot of money over this.

Agree.

Plus, he's in Chicago. I'm surprised he hasn't been arrested already.

He should of called the cops. He could of killed plenty more playing hero.

Shooting to wound is not a viable option. Anyone who has taken any type of self defense course is taught to hit center mast as many times as it takes.
I love the fake gun defense for claiming unlawful death. One less useless dirt bag dispatched by a well trained CC holder who definitely knew what and how to deal with the situation.

When I took my concealed carry course some years back, 3/4 of the class was taught by a lawyer. He spent a lot of time telling us about all the backlash we could get if we used our firearm for self defense. This sounds like one of those times.

Shooting someone 68 times is sadistic

This is a GOAT line right here. Seems like the CC holder understood perfectly how guns work. The dipshit robber did not. This is a win for the good guys.

I'm sure the robber wouldn't mind having the cops called. No way he'd shoot someone on the phone with 911

And *have. Of is a preposition

I don't understand this, please explain.

If a guy comes up to me, and points a gun at me to rob me...I don't think it is different than a guy that points a gun at 10 of us.

The act of pointing a gun at me or the group I am in sends an implied message of a threat to shoot me or us.

I don't see how a reasonable person would be swayed to award the family anything.

Excuse me sir. May I take a moment to call law enforcement?

CCW holder..."Siri, please call 911, I am being held at gunpoint with a threat to my life"

Siri..."you have a gun on you dumbass"

The incident is all the more mysterious because it occurred on Halloween and involved a man in a mask with a fake gun. Various law enforcement individuals told the Tribune that the gun was either a toy or a paintball gun.

Was the shooting a Halloween prank gone horribly wrong?

Halloween is a very popular night for these types of robberies. There must have been at least 7 robberies reported on the news in Jackson on Friday night.

You of no right saying this unless you of been in that situation.
