Great dog, I have one about a year old. A little ball of fun and energy but calm and affectionate when you need her to be. Gets a lot of attention from other people when out walking. Doesn’t bark

Vet says the heart thing is easily treatable with meds and they live a long time if properly treated.

Sweet little dogs but very prone to heart defects from what I’ve read. A friend had one that lived a long life and was a great house dog though.

Wife had one. Sweet dog, clean. Snored louder than anything I've ever heard. Died last year from heart failure, which is very common.

Extended family has two...sweet dogs with a good mix of playful but can cuddle. Like the other poster said, please don’t let them get fat.

With that said, our cavalier is the best dog we have ever owned. Was easy to train, listens and great with kids.
Ours is 13 which is old for the breed, most don’t live that long. They have a history of heart and hip issues so vet your breeder well.
Only issue we have is that they shed a lot, but it’s long hair and clumps together, almost like dust bunnies. Get yourself a Roomba and all is good.
We paid $1,300, but that was 13 years ago, I have no idea what they go for now.

very affectionate. they adapt to their owners and are eager to please. there are rescue orgs that deal only with them, we got ours through one and she is wonderful. great with kids and other dogs.

Fun dogs but prone to many many health issues which are likely to be expensive over the years. They don't enjoy getting wet and muddy. But they love their owners

We got our Tri Color a little over a year ago. He's a loving, crazy, goofy little shite.
