Cool dogs.. They can die young (10 years or so) because of chronic defects. Ours lived to 12.

Get a Brittany Spaniel. They are not as ghey but still a Spaniel which comes with all the affection, excitement and manors of a King Charles. Brittanys are smart as shtt, too damn smart at times.

I'm forty. Had maybe a dozen or so breeds of various sizes. In my experience, they are the best. Their level of affection to their owners is amazing. And they are hilarious to boot in their other behaviors. And awesome with kids.

We had one as well. She was a great family dog. She lived for 13 yrs which is long for their breed. The vets were always amazed to see a Cavalier King as old as her.
