There are 7 Sandals in Jamaica. The bolded ones are in the path of Melissa. Dunn's River will be on the fringe of the bad stuff.

South Coast - (Whitehouse)
Dunn's River - (western Ocho Rios)
Montego Bay
Royal Caribbean (eastern Montego Bay)
Negril

Royal Plantation (eastern Ocho Rios)
Ochi (eastern Ocho Rios)

These people have never ever made a conservative claim on potential damage. Its always the worst-case scenario. Its one of the reasons people don't take their cries of wolf seriously. Their need to be dramatic and gain attention is actually hurting public safety.

Agree entirely and that’s why I try to caution against it. It’s affecting the entire field of meteorology but no one is really willing to stop it because it justifies their careers and funding.

That’s gonna be a rough ride there. Kingston is only about 25 mph sustained right now.

Extending 20-30 miles out from the eye. It is a compact storm.

Right around the eye and extending out about 30 miles in this case.

My friend’s daughter is at an Excellence resort in Oyster Bay. Her group has been moved to their interior assigned room with their Excellence Resort concierge. We were hearing from her until about 30 minutes ago.

Gonna be touch and go with any kind of signal out of there. Josh Morgerman's last Xwitter post was nearly an hour ago. It was over a day until he was able to get anything out in Dorian.

The bad news just keeps coming.

Just joking. Though, I do hope he trips on a coconut or something.

Yeah. Warned my friend to expect this. Still nerve wracking for her.
