Never had issues with Mazda or Toyota. In fact, Toyota has gone above and beyond expectations on warranty repairs and replacement, even tire warranty.
Hyundai, on the other hand, refused to repair turbo system on a Sonata with 60K miles because I wasn't original owner. Stupid reason to not back your vehicle and your manufacturer reputation.

Mercedes has expensive maintenance cycles (you may as well pencil in a grand for A service, and 2k for the B service round), but they otherwise have stood behind their product with no bullshite and we're on our third vehicle with them.

Dealerships make money off warranty work.
Absolutely they do. But, they make considerably more for the same repair with customer pay…

My dad just had a 3rd transmission replaced under Hyundai's 100000 mile warranty. He only had a few hundred miles until it hit the out of warranty mark. They even gave him a new loaner car to drive until the transmission came in, and that took weeks.

No bad experiences for me from Mercedes Benz of Baton Rouge. I bought an extended warranty for 7 years or 100,000 miles. All issues have been taken care of after the manufacturers warranty. I’m not a fan of extended warranties, but for ice makers and high end vehicles. It’s worth the price.

Tell us what brand you buy, so none of us make that mistake. A decade ago, I had to have 3 of my ex wife's fuel injectors replaced under warranty, and that's the extent of it in almost 50 years.
Chevy, Toyota, and Infiniti… just had a complete rear hatch arm replaced for 100 bucks on a Carmax warranty at the dealership..

Rainy day / emergency fund > extended warranty…
No warranty cost, limits and BS
Flexible (there for “life”, not just car problems).
Earned interest if never need it.
Peace of mind.

Dealers are third parties. The brand of the car doesn't matter so much as the quality of the dealership with dealing with warranty issues.

From my experience Certified means the dealer inspected it and then bought and extended warranty that they jacked into the price.
I bought a used F150 that was under 30k miles in immaculate condition. I asked the guy why it wasn’t certified and he said they wanted to move it and didn’t want to add to the cost.
I bought an 8 yr 100k miles extended warranty from Flood Ford ESP for $1,400 online.

The Lincoln dealership near me has been superb throughout the warranty period. Honestly no questions asked about any little minor bullshite. Or dumb factory recalls.

That's why I only buy certified certified preowned vehicles

Which they have to fix for free.

These recalls are typically initiated by the automaker and are required to be repaired at no cost to the vehicle owner.
Mega dealers will require you to drop off the vehicle before they're "allowed" to order the $35 part, turning a 4 hour repair into a 3 day affair. And you know the repair was completed at 11AM, but the service manager just calls everyone at 4:30PM to let them know their car is ready. John Taffer needs to do an auto dealer series on how farked up they are.
But dealerships are teh awesome!

I never had any issues with recalls at the local Honda dealership. Luckily my Honda has only has 2 recalls. One I think was for the inflator module and the second one was for the major Takada Airbag recall.
Even oil changes are my Honda dealership is only around $40 after taxes. But they do on purpose, as they always find some other "necessary service". I just had an oil change done and they wanted to charge me $300 for a transmission fluid drain and fill. Checked the transmission fluid, it was fine. The independent shop I go to also checked the transmission fluid and said it was fine. Advised me to go to them when I do want it changed as they'll do it for $150 with Honda equivalent transmission fluid (Amsoil) that meets or exceeds Honda standards. Half the price of the dealership.
That's my method now with my older Honda was 270,000 miles. Go to the dealership for the oil change and get a list of "what's wrong". Then take it to the independent shop for verification on what's legit and what is BS and have them do any necessary repairs.

Which is why I have a used car that I can do all the work on myself. If I blow and engine or transmission I'll fix it. Only think I need someone else for is alignment, balancing and body work/ paint.
I have scam told and a chest full of specialized tools.

Why does it seem I reading a script from a movie about an old person from New York or Detroit bitching about getting screwed the man?

Remember that the manufacturers bumper to bumper warrant covers factory defects......and.....does NOT cover items that are broken, torn, ripped, slashed because of stupidity or failure to follow recommended services. Like it or not, owners have to take some of the responsibility.

A couple of the times I’ve just had them come over to the house and one of the technicians drive it to the dealership and then they come drop it back off later that day.
Or when they kept it overnight they drove a loaner vehicle over and moved the car seats over to the loaner car.
But also our dealer surely isn’t one of the mega ones
