I quit working for the guy and became the guy. Everyone who worked for me got the same spiel. Go to work, get paid. I retired at 52. Haven’t looked back, once.

“Not much notice” and no notice are two different things. We employ people. When we let one go we give them severance. In our Houston office, employees used to ghost us all the time. And not necessarily young employees. We solved that by changing the way we hire. And if the college grads want to know our political positions they won’t get an offer.

Young people are so goddamn complacent these days they post so much dumb shite on social media, we have fired a couple of young people for stupid social media posts over the past year. It is amazing how naïve these kids are

How? You don't have to tell them how you left. Just why you left.
Also, if you currently work for a company that's too dumb not to have a standard "employee x worked from this date to this date and that's all we will say" policy, then just get out as soon as you can and don't look back.

I have my own business and are constantly looking for new employees. We are a manufacturing business so finding someone that wants to work a trade is almost impossible. Also, what I’ve been seeing for this past 2 years are resumes that include 7 jobs with each job lasting no more than 15 months. Bouncing from job to job is not something employers think highly of. I have been ghosted on interviews more than 10 times.
I have my own business and are constantly looking for new employees. We are a manufacturing business so finding someone that wants to work a trade is almost impossible. We don’t accept 2 weeks notice anymore. Their resignation becomes effective immediately and they are escorted out. We do pay them for the next two weeks.

Yeah...this is not the case. At least not in Orlando with how hot the construction market is with Disney and Universal building like crazy and everyone else trying to catch up to support them. I’ve only been at my current company for a little over a year, and recently did a round of interviews. Have 4 offers and potentially 2 more on the way. As long as your taking better positions or more money, no one gives a shite.
