I have a problem with the age range of that survey. By the time you reach age 25, most of these people will lose that "stand on issues" shite and realize it is just about making money and securing your livelihood.

I have co workers who do this constantly. Both sides too. And will just say it (loudly) out the sides of their mouth too. Like throwing a grenade in the room. I just don’t engage at all. I’m here to do my job.

Probably, but some of those people have likely been ghosted by potential employers in their job search. I think employers should start to recognize that. While your company may not be guilty of it, it's hard to blame people for abandoning common courtesy when those same courtesies haven't been afforded to them by other companies. If you haven't been in the job hunt game in recent years, it is a completely demoralizing experience. Submit an application/resume, sit around waiting for a response while having no contact info to see if your application/resume is even under consideration, get a call for an interview 3 weeks later, go to interview and do well and told to hear something soon, 3-4 weeks go by with nothing and no return calls or emails when you follow up, etc.

Not all companies are like this, but many are.

Probably had this happen to me a half dozen times at least already and I only entered the work force about 2 and a half years ago.

Someone who has 10 jobs in the last 12 years and they are all the same position.... that is concerning

I don't even bring them in for interviews if they are job hopping like this or worse. I cannot justify investing in their training to have them leave in the next 6 months.

I had a girl quit her job because our company didn’t publicly support climate change and LBTGIF initiatives. I told her that wasn’t our business so we stayed in our lane. Kids today will ruin America.

Define when they’ll take over? I mean, if they’re 25 years old now, when would they take over at 45 or 50? By then, a 40 year old today will be in their early 60’s. Why would that matter when so close to retirement?

That type of attitude will lead to a lot of unhappy gen z'ers.

My company lets you cash out PTO. If you give two weeks notice, you get 50%. A month, 100%.

Can't say I agree with conducting yourself like this, that is if you want to remain employable, but the fact remains employers have been "ghosting" their employees for years. "Sorry, we're having to lay of 10% of our work force. It's not you". Then they go out and hire a shite load of new senior management.

Most businesses shouldn't take political stances imo and potentially alienate half of their customer base. That just seems like a dumb decision. Democrat and Republican money is green

Both employment agreements were voided by the employee.

Unless it is a downturn an employer is not getting rid of a good employee

Employees are fired because of their actions. The employer rarely just does it for no reason.

I did this once to a job. I got a better offer the day before I was supposed to start. I called and let them know I was not going to take the job. Those dummies still paid me three paychecks.

On the other side of the coin, the employee is leaving the company likely because of the company’s actions and rarely does it for no reason.

Maybe you.

I don't understand this. Anyone I'm friends with at work understands that if I'm leaving my position it has nothing to do with them, and it's not an act of malice.

I had one coworker who was always getting upset when people called in. I don't understand why. It's not going to change my pace. My pace is dictated by how much money I make, and just because we are short a person doesn't change the amount of work I'm about to do. I was happy when people called in sick. Fantastic, I hope they aren't sick and they just took a day to go have fun.

If you can't understand that my leaving has nothing to do with putting extra work on your plate, I am very sorry.
