What it boils down to is most high level managers don't understand economics and basic supply and demand. Your workforce falls under the same scarcity laws.

Pensions are few and far between.

Your best chance at raises and increased income, is moving on to a new employer or leveraging that offer into a pay raise from your current employer.

Saw it a couple weeks ago. Guy didn’t Show, slacked a few of us saying he’s gone, we’re great, etc. but never even told his manager. It was a few days later a manager asked if we’d seen him and we said it sounded like he quit. Hilarious
