Car and Driver ranked midsized trucks. Ridgeline #1

I personally prefer the Canyon in this segment but Ridgeline definitely offers great options unavailable in other midsized trucks. The downside is the paltry 3500lb towing capacity for the standard drivetrain.
What do y'all think? More features? Or more towing? Has Honda finally built a truck worth legitimate consideration?
options that are unique to the ridgeline:
Bed mounted soundsystem
In-Bed trunk
Automated driver aids such as adaptive cruise, lane keep assist, brake hold, and collision avoidance
1. Ridgeline
2. Colorado
3. Canyon
4. Tacoma
5. Frontier

the commercial i saw made me think its a very practical truck in terms of storage, etc

But the switch to a unibody frame gives it a superior ride. Guys who use their trucks as mostly a commuter vehicle would appreciate it I guess...

They finally made the rear end more truck-like, but now they have taken the front of the Accord and installed it.

Agreed. I don't really like the fronts of most of the trucks in this segment. That's one reason why I prefer the Canyon.
Canyon Denali comes out next year! I'd love to see what is added.

If I was to get a midsize truck, it would be a Tacoma. I had one before, Louisiana roads toss that light truck around but it held up well for 12 year old truck. I only had 110,000 miles on it though

Of course. It's a car. Car mags HATE trucks. Car mags are written by, and edited by, guys who think the pinnacle of life is owning a BMW 3 series and look down their noses at trucks.

Before I go any further let me just say Toyota is the best truck brand hands down and has been for 30 years
That being said, I took a look at the new Ridgeline and it actually was designed for everyday use. The underneath bed storage is awesome and no need for a bed liner. As far as FWD I was told it uses "active 4WD" where it runs normally in FWD and the 4WD kicks in automatically. I know some of you baws need to have RWD when you drive down the road to get groceries though.
However, that Ridgeline needs a lift and some bigger tire for it to look masculine enough.

Where is the truck though?
I'm sure the Ridgeline does many things well, but from an aesthetics standpoint, nothing about it says "truck" other than having a bed.

It's a lifted car. IF that counts as a "truck" these days, so be it.
