The right is fighting fire with fire now. That’s the only way to stop the left.

more whataboutism and “both sides” to
minimize the fact that Charlie Kirk was brutally and publicly executed by the Left for attempting to have conversations with college students. own it.

~ half the country has voluntarily retarded themselves on the narcotic of propaganda in pursuit of truth and explanation of extraordinary circumstances. Nobody agrees on what is fact and opinion because the fragmented messaging landscape offers so many opinions that are presented as factual.

This is two separate countries now. The values, beliefs and lifestyles of the two are at complete polar opposites.

I watch a video of the cities on the coasts and it seems like a different world.

I don't get it and it does't even look like America to me.

However, I don't think as a country it's good to have this good vs evil mindset.

And my concern in bringing this topic up is to not let us slip further into the tit for tat environment we're in now.

Yes, celebrating Kirk's murder is disgusting and personally, I really don't care when stupid people get what they have coming.

However, there will be a time when the Left is in power again and retribution will come.

We're just in a constant cycle of power now with whatever party controls the government does whatever they want and then when they lose the other side reverses everything and we never really get anywhere.

Except that we’re canceling people over a cold-blooded murder and political assassination. Thats a legitimate reason.

That’s a little more justified than the left canceling people because “silence is violence” when those people don’t support the leftist causes that the left is pushing.

The right has been engaging in cancel culture for decades. Let’s not pretend these efforts don’t happen on both sides. One example is the attempt to cancel Disney (1996) when they offered health insurance to spouses or partners of their employees. If you would like, I can show you.

The president has often led the charge even before he came president. Downvote all y’all want. But these are the facts.

I am all for freedom of any speech. But free speech does sometimes come with consequences.

and where does this end?

I really don't get this idea that the "left" killed Kirk. The "left" is a person?

Did the "right" bomb OKC?

I think cancel culture was also largely based on scouring old-to very old posts/social media/pictures, even decades ago and trying to cancel people now.

This is a present moment celebration of a murder of a husband and father that never incited violence or espoused violence.

I'm personally just unfollowing people and making decisions of where not to spend my money based on this and not cancelling people, but it's a bit different. We saw people getting canceled for halloween costumes from the 70s

Anyone celebrating the Kirk murder is a sick individual. But it's kind of ironic that people are now scouring social to find anyone posting anything about it and then emailing their employers.

Freedom of speech has never implied freedom from consequences, NEVER.

No it’s not stupid. The left is a plague that needs to be shamed out of existence. Inherently violent and incapable of impartiality. Enough of this.

For far too long, conservatives have played by the "rules" in responding to the years & years of attacks by the left. .Limiting themselves to responses on social media. Now, it's time for us to play by the same "rules", or lack of same.....as the left. Not one to use the word "war " too loosely, but it is time for tit for tat. In real life.

I agree that celebrating a murder is much more disgusting than making an offensive joke, I'll give you that 100 percent.

I'm not trying to defend those morons at all.

This is going to happen again. As mad as people are (and rightly so), some dumbass is going to assassinate someone on the left.

Going to be very interesting to see the social media reactions celebrating Rosie O'donnel or some other dipshit getting gunned down and then crying because they got fired from their plant job.

The “left” - no.

The “far left” - yes.

Sadly, the “far left” is who is in charge of the Democratic Party at the national level.

quote:

anymore than the right murdered Palestinians or was responsible for running over people in Charlottesville.

The Palestinians? Not relevant.

Charlottesville would be the far right, not the right.

Those extremists were publicly denounced by Trump (despite the “good people on both sides” garbage spewed by the MSM and Social Media (both controlled by the far left imho).

The far right is largely a figment of the lefts imagination.

The far left is in charge of the Democratic Party.

Your examples illustrate that dynamic.

She's a despicable person, but I don't want her dead and her murder for her views would be abhorrent.

Anyone stupid enough to post a celebratory post of a murder in this political environment has very questionable judgment but this isn't really much different than left wing loons scouring twitter for "offensive" jokes years ago or canceling anyone they disagree with.

Yes, telling jokes and saying men can't give birth is the exact same thing as celebrating someone's death and encouraging more violence.

Same. Exact. Thing.

As a former Dem voter, I am glad to see what is happening. Society needs to be purged of evil.

Perhaps.

Democrats do tend to kill each other.

So speculation (wish-casting) on your part versus actual events?

The far left is vile and violent.

The far right is virtually non-existent. You are promoting a false equivalency.

The difference is the left was digging up stupid comments from decades ago to silence people who simply didn't think the way they wanted.

Bro, Mr. Rogers wore a black face in 1972. Sure, it was only painted black to show how make-up works while visiting the make-up factory, but we can't allow that to happen. He had to be cancelled.
