This is Tigerdroppings OT. It's full of miserable people that take their insecurities out on other strangers.

YES. No one remembers numbers now. If you have your cell phone they will let you get numbers out of it.
The only phone numbers I remember are 30 years old.

Yes. Signature bond.
But most times you need a cash bond. But if you post full bail you don't need a bondsman.

Why don't you want to use your phone call

ETA if you are preemptively working out a plan to commit a crime call a local crim attorney in the local area and pay him a retainer to help you lower bond and have a frictionless release. You could also work out a deal with a local bondsman beforehand so you don't have to post the full bail if you get overcharged or commit more offences than you plan on.
Do not pass go….do not collect 200….go straight to jail. You going for conspiracy to commit and/or premeditation. The folks that are contacted before the crime will be state witnesses.

That’s a better question. Can you access your property to get a phone number out of your cell phone? I don’t even know my wife’s number off the top of my head.

Most decent sized jails can accomodate credit cards but it is possible to find a podunk place that does not.
Since when are jails in the bond business?
And if you used a credit card, couldn't you just cancel the charge upon release?

The answer is hyper location specific. Not just by state, but by parish/county.

I don’t think county jails have a CC feature. I thought it’s either cash or cashiers check.

You got caught soliciting a hooker and don't want your wife to find out, didn't you?

Most jails have bail bond companies phone numbers available.
You call them and pay 10%, they post the bond you walk out.
